Hello! I was wondering what usually makes an item used for junk trading classified as junk. If anyone has any insight, it would help a lot! ::'

Usually an item that has a decent Grand Exchange value, yet something no one is really going to buy. So it is used to balance out trades for items that have a higher street price than Grand Exchange price.

Okay, so does that mean Blank Tiaras and Body Talismns could be used as junk? (I encountered a glitch where I wanted to buy 1 and it bought 1,000 of each. :( My money...down the drain.)

I suppose you can use anything you want to for junk as long as you have enough to balance out any unbalanced trade you make.

I suppose you could always use the talismans for Runcrafting experience too though if you wanted, or just sell them back.

if it has no value to yourself you can consider it junk

so if you have no use for those items yes they can be used as junk

THE REV HUNTER

lack of ability for resale to other players, but generally with a decent value according to the game

A good example is adamant javelins. They cost 123 GP but because javelins suck really really bad, no one, and I repeat no one uses them. There is no demand for them however they are a common drop from monsters. I mean before the GE update, they were junk already. No one used them. But now since everything works through the GE the prices are incorrect. I mean who would paid 123 gp each for something as bad as a javelin?

Basically anything that doesn't even sell in the GE for minimum price. Maple longbow (u), Addy Javs, Rune Darts (p), etc. are all good examples. They are worthless but have GE value. I also use cosmic talismans, frem boots and frem gloves I get from MTK weekly cuz they just pile up over time.

Slayer Drops

Dragon Chainbody (dust devil), Dragon Platelegs x2, Dragon Plateskirt x3, Dragon Boots x38, Dragon Med Helm x5, Dragon Spear x3, Shield Left Half x4

Staff of Light x2, Abyssal Whip x16, Dark Bow x17, Granite Maul x17, Focus Sight, Hexcrest x2, Black Mask x4, Leaf-bladed Sword, Mystic x31, Obsidian x13, Brine Sabre x2, Spirit Shield, Dragonstone x5

Junk is really anything you don't need that no one will buy.

It's pointless to collect it because the time spent could be used making actual money. However the end result for many items created when skilling is often junk that you could use for whatever you need to sell over the GE market value.

try maple longbows (u)

i have like 10k of them = like 1.4m gp

I got several hundered k from a maple longbow (u) drop in the party room. Epic junk. But killing bronze/iron drags gets quite a lot of junk in poisoned rune darts. Any valuable, but oh-so-useless stuff can be junk.
