yet words like SPUNK are starred out.

I thought "[wagon]" and "hell" could be said without altering the word. But, you can get banned for saying them based on context.

 

Examples:

 

"Aww hell... I just got my [wagon] kicked by Jad."

 

This is fine (or at least nearly fine).

 

 

 

"GO TO HELL YOU *********** [wagon]!"

 

Bad. Reportable.

 

 

 

If it's offensive, it's reportable, basically.

 

 

 

The words won't ever be starred out, but they can be offensive. Use them wisely or not at all; preferably the latter

the way i see it everything can be viewed as offensive. runescape would be better off if people werent so uptight, omg that guy said cracker, he must be racist. or omg he called me a clannie, thats offensive. if your too immature to deal with random "offensive" language why are you letting your kids play an mmorpg where they are dealing with people instead of NPC

Learn to condescend without resorting to insults. Better yet, use the ignore list and move on to fun activities within the game. Runescape is rather well designed to allow players to remove annoying players from their gaming experience.

 

 

 

The only thing this game lacks is a visual block, so I could unsee the fools 'dancing' and giggling about it like pre-pubescent girls.

On topic, it's ALL about context. If you say "ah hell" obviously it's fine (that's why Jagex uncensored it) but something like "go to hell" can be found offensive. Though people tend to exagerate insults in RuneScape so don't think "Would I find this offensive" but "Will THEY find that offensive".
