Lord Diddy
I wouldn't see why not, specifically tell us what is the error because there at tons of factors involved then just the comp specs. There could be a problem with your browser, Java, graphics card, even restrictions.
Vulxai
I would think your graphics card would be good enough to play. obfuscator
What happens when you try to play in HD mode? "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
AlexDT
Perhaps you already have another instance of Runescape running in a different tab. That stops you from switching display modes, it always gets me #-o

Dracion1
Give these a try, and let us know if they fix the problem. Update your graphics drivers Update your internet browser Update Java Everything specs wise looks fine though. :) EDIT: Is this full screen HD? You might have the resolution on the settings set to the wrong option. Make sure it's at 1024*768, since that's the resolution of your screen. The OpenGL version may be a problem too, see if you can upgrade that. "In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move." lordkafei
OpenGL 1.1 is the software emulated version. That's why you can't run Runescape HD. Now how you fix that is an entirely different issue. I suspect you need to update or repair Catalyst. What version of Catalyst are you running? lordkafei
What version of Catalyst are you running?: how I can update this ? Actually, I think that's current. The hardware is capable. The software is capable. Maybe settings are the answer. Can you check your display control panel and tell me what your hardware acceleration setting is? lordkafei
Yep, that's it. So you have an Asus mobo, eh? So do I. And I had your problem at first. Look in your Device Manager under ASUS Other Devices for an item called Enhanced Display Driver Helper Service. If you find it, disable it. I don't remember if you will have to reboot or not. Let us know if that fixes things. It is vitally important that you disable it rather than removing it (ref: this thread). (than the disable hasnt happend or something ) :P so I cant start my pc if I disable it :S So you do have it then. I believe disabling / properly removing that is the key. I used to have an Asus video card as well - perhaps that is what needed it instead of the mobo. I am not sure. I do know when I disabled it, my OpenGL problems went away. I am lost as to why you can't disable it on your system. This would be a good time to set a restore point, if you haven't already, before you start digging deeper. The last idea I have is to boot into safe mode and try to disable it there and see if it makes a difference. lordkafei
No I cant play it in safe mode either :( Think I just have to accept and stop witth RS :- ( I meant disable the Asus Enhanced Display Driver Helper Service in safe mode, not try to play RS in safe mode. Safe mode --> disable Service --> Reboot normal --> hopefully play I am able to enable / disable mine in normal mode, FWIW. What was your old video card (before the Radeon)?
