I personnaly think there isn't coming a new skill [this year.] If there would be a new skill, I just praise to Guthix that this will not be Sailing, I actually don't think there are alot of ways to practise this skill... But you never know with Jagex. [bleep] these clues, just wait and see what will come... I'm just playing RuneScape now, if there is coming a new skill; well then this will be fun... OK, seriously, though... I think sailing IS going to be added some time in the future, but it won't be a new skill. Rather, it will be a combination of existing skills like some people have said. For example, building a sailboat may take a certain construction, smithing and crafting level while using it will take a certain strength and agility level. Now, if you take it one step further and make the skill "Piracy," then you have my interest. I could imagine going out on raids on the oceans, on boats filled with npcs and various kinds of treasure, that you need to collect and take back to a pirate master. Sort of like slayer, but with looting and accomplishing certain pirate-ish tasks. There could be different outifts that you can access at higher levels, and that affect your proficiency at pirating... similar to how hunting gear outfits work. And perhaps at higher levels you can assemble different/more powerful types of cannons to help with overtaking other ships. And while we're at it, why not have different and bigger/better ships available to you at high levels? Imagine being level 99 Piracy and have a galleon you can keep docked at different ports around RuneScape of your choice, that provide free travel to other ports, and can be used on piracy raids that a pirate master gives you. And if it gets damaged, say you need to spend money (or pirate loot) to get it repaired. Ah, anyway, just a thought...So, you just ripped off my post on the whole piracy thing? That'd be like me saying I was the only one to come up with a clan wars arena; I wasn't, it just happened to be a clan wars arena exactly like my suggestion that made it ingame. Sorry if I came off as an [wagon].[/hide] well technically, i dont think it should be called "Piracy" because in this age of technology, when someone says piracy, one of the first things ppl think of is bootleg movies and stuff...hence- pirating dvds, etc. mayb a different word for PiracyYes because if I was in a medieval-ish type setting and heard piracy the first thing I would think about is the internet and stealing T.V. shows. Its also funny that Sailing was never suggested as a skill until after the fake screenie circulated, then all of the sudden every other sentence was a clue and every Jmod post had a hidden meaning. Like when you grapple someones ship, you get on board and fight the captain (other player), the loot will be determined somehow...Maybe something in the lines of pirate equipments, like some have stated.
