ok im going to make 43k+ cannon balls so i can get the 69 smithing i need and i was wondering if anyone knows...

1. how much money will i make doing this(1.5k steel bars at a time)?

2. around how much time will it take for me to get the lvls i need?

You make 144 gp per steel bar smelted into cannonballs, assuming you buy the steel bars and sell the balls on the GE at mid price. 1.5k steel bars at a time would get you 216k profit.

As to how long this would take, I wouldn't know as I've only smelted cannonballs once. And that was a long time ago  .

Only make cannonballs if your average income is under 12.5k an hour.

Pureprayer, you're awesome.

Smithing Cannonballs takes a lot of time, so make sure you have enough patience to handle it.

Smithing cannonballs is a huge waste of time. If anything buy iron bars and smith them into iron knives. Then use the remaining time you would have lost from cannonballs to make the money back. If you get 1 summoning level you can Graahk runecraft profiting anywhere from 200-300k an hour.

faster and better profit than cannon balls

The tiny profit made from smithing cannonballs doesn't come close to the xp lost. Make mithril bolts.

gold ores are better than mith bolts assuming you dont use sc hammers

while saying that play sc and buy morphic tools and make hammers

I done the gold ores myself from around that level to get 69 smithing, just use the goldsmithing gauntlets from 'Family Crest' and you'd get it easily, with a slight loss; and thats me saying it a bit lightly :?

What they said....Iron is much faster training. Although I would reccomend making dart instead of knives. The fletching exp is great even though it seems small you can rack it up extremely fast and since they both stakc you can take all you want and do it wherever you want. You know....host a party at you house while fletching 20k iron darts you've smithed. You'll grab half a dozen or so fletching levels (depending on where you're at). I got 77 fletching this way without ever touching a bowstring but i've done over 100k iron darts too so...
