papamd
Does it help to get the best drops from a moster to kill it real fast. What is the best way to get the best drops? What does Runescape say about that? I have not seen it to make a difference but there is a lot of opinions saying that the faster you kill them the better the drops but no facts to support that. I'm looking for facts to support it one way or the other. Not more opinions.

Junkmutt
If you kill a monster faster then you can get more kills, which increases your chances to get a better drop. warrior5024
I'll never forget my friend smiting Kree'arra in hopes of a hilt. My late friend. So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
Ned
Kill speed, the Ring of Wealth, Jennica's Ring, or Smiting. Jennica's (confirmed) and Smiting (smiting is debated) only affect Revenant drops. Ring of Wealth 101 :P This item doesn't increase your chance of receiving a rare drop. In an old Postbag from the Hedge, Jagex compares the drop system to a set of roulette wheels. First, there is the chance to receive a rare drop. This is the first wheel, or dice roll, or what have you. Secondly, there is the type of rare item that would be received. The Ring of Wealth affects this wheel. So, if you hit the Rare Drop category when you killed a Tormented Wraith, the ring of wealth might help you to get an Elixir instead of a Spirit shield. Want to help the Tip.It Crew? Your Grandpa
As warriormonk said, drops are decided using the "double wheel". This wheel, according to Jagex, can only be affected by a ring of wealth, which does not affect the first wheel, only the second one. In other words, it doesn't make it any more likely for you to get a 'rare' drop (as defined by Jagex), it makes your rare drop better.
