Yeah, the hand motions on that one are slightly deceptive.

 

 

 

They are fun because you can use them to express emotion that you could not convey over the internet. If you think somethings funny, you could use :lol: Or if something is cool, use 8-) They just let you express yourself in even more ways.

We can't express emotions without them unless we write in depth:

It counts as our body language on the internet.

I don't know of what use the Op's smilies are, except maybe the boobs one. They certainly don'tconvey emotion, especially the stage one.
