Korla
hehe, lemme join the pixl craze... *looks around* oh, the train already left... anyways: a slightly modified Eldar Guardian from WH40k. I have the model at home and drew from reference. I'm no painter, though, so from now on, I'm on my own hehe. I iwll have some help on falling light, however, but not that much. Anything that looks terribly odd? His right leg might look crooked, I hope to fix that with the colouring, it really looks that way...the feet are difficult, however... Anyways, any critique? EDIT two versions, I prefer the black one EDIT2 another color scheme, two slightly different versions, one with more dithering than the other, also the leg is moved in one of them :)
J272
I dont know much about warhammer, but thats looking very nice so far :D I can use my imagination  J272
misterxman
The pic looks great, the right leg seems a bit bent specially at the dent in the front lower part but as you said it seems it was that way in the model. The feet look good, but I think his left foot would look better if it's end is lifted a bit so it doesn't appear so parallel to his right foot. Nadril
Warhammer 40,000. A table top stratagy game. There have also been some pc games made from the licence. on topic, its looking nice korla. not many flaws i realy see.
Korla
two backgrounds, I prefer the black one, that one has brighter weapon for better contrast, aswell. 9 colours used, I'm fairly pleased, for being purely for training, I think I might be able to work out some techniques with this pixeling business... :D
Nadril
Ooh, looking very nice korla, I like the shading you have there. Very noisy and such! You could definitly get into the pixeling buisness :) Not realy many complaints about it.
Godslayer
I think this piece would be so much better if the pallete was less harsh. Rethink your colors, and don't dither so much.

zeekyhbomb
very good, but like misterxman said, the lower part of his right leg is bent wierd, it looks like its almost broken, poor guy
Lowgravity
Just an example of what the leg should look like.. Really easy job just move it right with select tool then fill in the gaps and stuff, you can use this one or try it yourself but whatever you do CHANGE HIS LEG  . PS : Not sure about the colours :P Lowgravity, I want to be just like you. But...I never will be as 1337 as you. :(
Random
The legs does look awkward at first but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. With the right shades, it could give quite the impression of strength.

With the right shades, it could give quite the impression of strength. If he wanted to keep that leg he would have to change his foot so it was on tippy-toes because legs cant bend that way. In WH40k they have all the characteristics of Elves from WH Fantasy. They are in suits of armour, ofcourse, and their style might be abit like bugs actually, only slightly, though. another color scheme, two slightly different versions, one with more dithering than the other, also the leg is moved in one of them :)
misterxman
The dithering is very well done, should stick with it. The purple and green colors are a bit weird but maybe that's how it originally is. Now to try out some BG, you could even just leave the BG blank white with just the cast shadow under the guy. Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art

But it was very rushed the colour change, although it ended up looking better. anyway, I might do that for a background.

tttia
Hm, not sure how I managed to miss this post for that long. Good work on this. Now all that remains is for you to break out of that reserved shell and start cranking out work like this all the time! Very good proportions for an early pixel. It could be the "pixel" titel ;) well, if you read the beginning, I do have a model of it at home, so I mostly did this as a shading practice, but it still feels good that I got the proportions onto the comp correctly :) thanks
_k0m0d0_
The blue is really good! I think the blue one is better then the green one. Keeep on the good work.
