SacredFlam3s
With my levels, will bunyip get rid of guthans? I have 280ish defence bonous, and 76 defence, trying to get 80. I know that i dont have 68 summoning, but im halfway there with the charms. transcript80
I still use Guthans. When you need less then then the time a bunyip lasts, I take Guthans. For instance when finishing a task with just 10 or 20 monster left, bringing a bunyip is a lot more expensive then bringing some cheap food (tuna) and Guthans. Also, in some cases you might prefer a BoB or fighting familiar instead of a bunyip. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
SanNo1
At almost all slayer tasks a bunyip can replace guthans completely, and as a nice bonus you don't need to use the slow warspear to heal anymore \ . There are three sides to every story: There's one side, there's the other, and there's the truth.
SacredFlam3s
ok, so it depends on the task. Anymore input please? JoeDaStudd
A fair few tasks can't be guthaned well so the bunyip comes into its own on them. Then you have the extra space (atleast 2 extra free spaces). Try a void spinner and you'll see that you use a lot less food, now double the effect and you get a bunyip (don't forget the raw fish perk too). O, as I'm getting closer to 68 summoning and its getting so annoying. SacredFlam3s
i also just had the thought that on task where you need a mirror shield or a leafbladed spear or something like that which means u cant use guthans you should use a bunyip so i think it really depends on the task DK's Drops: 7 Berserker Rings, 2 Warrior Ring, 1 Archers Ring, 7 Dragon Hatchet, 1 Seercull, 3 Elite Clue - All SoloGWD Drops (CS): 1 Bandos Chestplate, 2 Armadyl Hilt, 1 Armadyl ChestplateSlayer:1 D skirt, 2 Whip, 12 G Mauls, 2 Dragon Boots
cat666
I usually carry Guthans with me. Main reason is a Bunyip is fixed, it will always give the same healing over the same time frame. Sometimes a task takes longer than a Bunyip's lifespan but it isn't worth using 2 Bunyips (Dust Devils). Other times the loot you get means it's more effective to take a Bunyip and then a Terrorbird for loot* (Abyssal Demons). Sometimes it is best to use a fighting familiar (Kalphites/Dagganoths). On a side note to this 3 base Titans are great as they fight and heal. Bit expensive but with these you won't need much healing. Don't forget bones to peaches. This is often overlooked and is often the best way to heal. At dust devils for example you can bust out a high level fighting familiar and then heal with the bones. Great way of getting a little mage/range XP on task without actually maging/ranging. *By loot I mean non-alchable loot, such as herbs and gems which you don't really want to leave behind. JohnPax
When I was able to use the Bunyip I tested out at 75-80 defence at Bandits and I found that I never had to eat, pray, run etc. I think you'll be fine with the bunyip, trusting that you're not going to use it somewhere like Corporal Beast : Remember though no matter what you decide to do now you can always change :) Good luck with the training. teatonev
There are some tasks that I couldn't imagine doing without a bunyip (terrorbirds and waterfiends) but to be honest I prefer a combat familiar and Guthans for most tasks (fire giants, dagganoths and kalphites). Dust devils a super defense pot does me fine!
pinguimmaiden
I never used guthans after i got 68 summoning, yip is more then enough. Almost all tasks i just bring yip, no guthans or food...
GODofbaseball
i would rely most on yip, because u do get those tasks where u need a shield, so it might be best 2 get a yip, but like somebody said before, you could always change ur mind Drops:2x Dragon Chain, 8x Dragon Platelegs, 3x Dragon PlateskirtsRecently Demoted to F2P, now getting 99 attack via giant spiders

llamster
Combat familiar>bunyip. Use Guthan's in any multicombat situation. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
pureprayer
At 68 summoning use a bunyip but at higher levels when you can use a titan use them. Pureprayer, you're awesome.
