stlboy07
I just have a question on what some good slayer gear is... I hear people saying spend your money on slayer gear, but what are they referring to? Can someone fill me in on what is considered slayer gear or good slayer gear along with some prices for these please?

Tijger2099
They are reffering to expensive slayer gear such as godswords and bandos plate/skirt. The point is, do not use them! For my body, plate and weapon I spent less than 1.5m on gear. For weapon use a whip, it outsmarts any godsword by far, it's cheap. People who use GS's use it mainly as it show off, without realizing the true power of the abbysal whip and without thinking what else they could've done with their money. Same thing for the body and plate, all you need is a fighter's torso, a black dragon hide body and prostelyte legs and a body. You use prostelyte legs on all of your tasks so you can use 10% str pray throughout the entire task at extremely low costs. The body comes into place for tasks where you are praying melee non stop, such as mutated bloodvelds and darkbeasts. You should use the black dragonhide body for Waterfiend tasks. The fighter's torso should be used on any tasks where you do not use the prostelyte body or dragonhide body. For jewellry possibilities are endless, you could use a glory and ring of wealth if you aren't too rich. If you however got a lot of money to spend you could use it on a fury and berserker ring. The reason why I do not use an incredible expensive armour is because it is useless, and the money spent on expensive armour can be used much more efficiently. Save millions on armour and you will have millions more gp to merchant! Just 2,5 months ago when I started slaying at 90 slayer (99 now) I had only 40m, now I have 165m at my disposal. Just because I chose my slayer gear wisely and spent under 5 minutes a day merchanting! PS. The rest of the armour is pretty obvious, RFD gloves, dragon boots, slayer helmet/black mask and a rune defender.

Obtaurian
Slayer Helm Fury Fire Cape Berserker Ring Cheapest Barrows plate body (Except Verac's) Verac's Plateskirt Dragon Boots Barrows Gloves Rune Defender Whip This is the best (standard) gear you can get without buying Bandos/Spirit Shields/etc. Also make sure to buy Karil's top and bottom and full proselyte. You may consider switching out the barrows platebody with proselyte plate if you're using 10% strength or Piety. A crush weapon is preferred against Waterfiends and Gargoyles. Saradomin Sword is best. EDIT: Always maximize attack bonus. When praying on a task, only switch plate and legs. The only exception is Scabarites. Some tasks, like Terrorbirds and Suqahs, force you to use protection prayers and standard melee gear. Always a combat familiar unless it's a single combat task. Try to fight in multicombat whenever possible. I personally ONLY use a bunyip on abyssal demons tasks. Use whatever healing methods available to you to make up for not using a bunyip. This includes Guthan's (if you absolutely cannot find anything else) and bones to peaches. Enhanced Excalibur or SGS are the best. If you can afford it, consider buying a DFS for Wyverns. I recommend canceling Irons and Steels as they're very slow experience. My personal cancel list is: Irons Steels Hellhounds Greater Demons You may consider unblocking Irons when you're near maxed melee, or when you can use a pack yak. Consider using a d2h spec on multicombat monsters that crowd around you. Dagannoths are probably best for this. If you don't need the healing and don't have a SGS, use a DDS for specials. Search "Mega Slayer Guide 3" on the RSOF for an extremely in depth Slayer guide that will answer most, if not all of your questions. I typed this up because I'm sick of people who know nothing about Slayer giving Slayer advice to other people who know nothing about Slayer. Good luck, slay on. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off. Or what can I improve on? do recipe for disaster when you've done it all the gloves give 12 str there awesome also if your fighting something that hits a lot use obby shield instead of rune defender other than those two things perfect (if you suddenly get rich get a dfs) drops worthy of note: karils top slayer drops: 1 g maul 2 adamant boots

Or what can I improve on? if you dont want to do RFD u can use a regen bracelet its better then combat and doubles your hp restore to 2hp per min and if you got the cash a berserker ring might be worth it
