March 13, 200917 yr Video games should never be banned, it is a game! If someone does something after playing a video game they were obviously already messed up before they got the game, it's a game not hypnosis lol It's tough at the top ;)
March 13, 200917 yr Bullying means a dude has no friends. Dude gets bored with no friends, plays games. Bullys go too far one day, next day dude shoots up school. Children are the cause of death not games. BAN CHILDREN  I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. I rarely write in [My Blog]. I am an [Ex-Moderator].
March 13, 200917 yr Bullying means a dude has no friends. Dude gets bored with no friends, plays games. Bullys go too far one day, next day dude shoots up school. Children are the cause of death not games. BAN CHILDREN  That's a great idea, but would never work. People are just immune to logic. Trust me on this one. OT: Books probably spawn more than video games ever will. More everything, really. Sure, they have to imagine it themselves, but that's the point; if they don't like that a guy died from blood loss after being shot, the reader can make them be stabbed or blown up with grenades or something even more violent. And Stephen King has scared me far more than any horror game can or will. Command the Murderous Chalices! Drink ye harpooners! drink and swear, ye men that man the deathful whaleboat's bow- Death to Moby Dick!BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!
March 13, 200917 yr These are the kind of topics in the USA that make me wanna hack every television station and give the entire nation the finger, telling them to lighten up. Videogames are meant to be fun, and if it's too violent for you, DON'T PLAY IT!!! It's up to parents to decide for their children, most of these deaths are M related videogames, and are played by children who obviously can't mentally handle the content that is given in a game meant for MATURE audiences. The mature only says age, because it assumed that at an older age you SHOULD be able to handle it. If you're too young, you're too young. Unfortunately, with videogames being so easily available, People are easily prone to such things. But so is alcohol, and movies like Saw. Potential solution: Add an M18+ rating, like with E10+. Give low-key M games the M rating, and they can be bought at 16, and give the high end M18+ rating fill the developer's taboo of AO, also let M18+ only be bought with ID. That way a parent SHOULD know near EXACTLY what they or their child is getting, and higher end games will be known as higher end to everyone. Violent videogames are for people to vent things that are normally taboo, and extract fun from that anyone who thinks that killing a real person will be as fun as killing a virtual person is psychotic, and the reason is most likely NOT derived from videogames alone. Also to point out is MadWorld, recently released for the "Family Friendly" Wii. A blogger on Yahoo! pointed out that this game would ruin that reputation. What makes a person buying a game for their family think a game with a giant M on the box would be appropriate? There are too many family-friendly games on the Wii to count. Nintendo has described the Wii as being for EVERYONE. Why should that exclude the more mature audiences? Unless a videogame or my examples above directly say "Kill a man," or "Lose your Virginity at 12," it is quite simply artistic expression. People are just immune to logic.Very, very, very true. People are generally [developmentally delayed]ed. And that includes me. Done.
