Best way to level? or enjoy leveling?

Featured Replies

My stats are 89 att, 89 str, 82 def, and 89 hp. And I want 99s but I don't know how to go about it.

Would u recommend:

A. Getting 99 str first, then 99 att then 99 def?

B. Getting all my lvls to 90 and then leveling them one at a time? like get 90 att 91 str 90 def, then 91 att 91 str 90 def, then 91 att 91 str 91 def all the way to 99?

or

C. you suggestions?

You could try training on Controlled. That's why I like to do, it seems a little slower (in fact, I think it is slower), but when you hit three levels at once, it's kind of cool.

someone mentioned soul wars and train just to 99... is that a fun and good combo?

I doubt from those levels you'l manage to max them all out in one go, your welcome to prove me wrong but i doubt it.

Maybe try working on one, then doing something different from combat.

If you want something to make the training less linear, you could try slaying, and/or using stealing creation platelegs (i suggest to get 5+ pairs at LEAST)

How can you not like controlled? It'd be faster the training them one at a time, and it's not like you have do anything different.

quit

as attack and strength make you kill things quicker and def doesn't, how could controlled be the same speed or faster?

Using a whip with controlled would be the fastest way to max out melee but most people enjoy getting just one cape at a time. If you go for just one cape make sure that your att and str are both 85+ first. It will make things faster in the long run. I still regret getting 99 def with 70 att and str lol. ::'

I have 89 att 90 str... so u think controlled with whip to get 99 at the same time?

controlled cant be the fastest in any way, getting 90-99 def with both the other 99s is alot quicker, might not be majorly quicker, but quicker none the less

Controlled is only best if you're slaying. The best training weapon off-task is Dharok's, which doesn't have a controlled option.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Slayer is a great way to train! It is also a great way to make a fair spot of cash. The constant change in monster keeps it fun, and the drops make it interesting. Well, whatever you decide to do, have fun.

I agree about slayer. You are getting multiple levels up at once and you are making money from it at the same time. I would highly suggest this for training combat related skills. ::'

I'd like to point this out thought that there are much better ways to play. At low levels slayer give some money but not as much as higher slayer levels, or killings aviansies or green dragons. I myself love to slay *looks at slayer level*.
