Pitac83
Is the crystal bow better then a rune c'bow + broad tipped bolts + Unholy Book for slaying? Im planning on using Duradel and range slay. Are all the monsters good to kill with the crystal bow or would it be better to kill them with a rune c'bow + broad tipped bolts + Unholy Book? This isn't including dragons of course. ultimatballr
I believe you are talking to the wrong NPC. You are talking to the NPC that charges elf teleport crystals, not crystal bow crystals. You want to talk to Ilfeen. You are probably talking to the two elves (one male, one female) which are near a campfire. Ilfeen is the light greenish dot. Kinda THIS color Apparently, my signature was to big.

Dax
I'd say Broad Bolts/Rune C'Bow/Unholy Book. Cheaper than the Crystal Bow, and hits high for the cheaper cost. #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod

Im tesing the bow on hellhounds right now. I hit almost constant 20+ I do the same with the crossbow, but slower. I know it's kind of costly, but it can get down to around 72gp a shot. Another question... does the accumulator also work with the crystal bow?
Aslan
No,the shots from the bow aren't projectiles so you can't get them back.
llamster
It's more powerful but is more expensive. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
Pitac83
Hmm..I think I am going to keep using it for most tasks. I really like how fast and high I'm hitting.
llamster
Hmm..I think I am going to keep using it for most tasks. I really like how fast and high I'm hitting. That'll change when it degrades. That's why you should use the glitch. That's where you shoot 249 shots with one bow and 1 with another, and the second will degrade. I know about it, but how would I keep up with how many shots I have fired besides counting every one that I shoot myself? Right now, that's the only thing stopping me from using that. ladycai
You can find out about how many hits it takes to kill an NPC and count how many of those you kill. I think that's one of the few other ways, and it's not always consistent :\ 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]

chaosoffar
Another option is to time your use of the bow/ I believe the bow fires 20/min on accurate, 25/min on rapid. So swap bows at 10mins on rapid or 12mins on accurate roughly.
llamster
^You'd be an idiot to use accurate in any situation except for solo sara GWD. Zaaps1
100 range bonus is the best in the game, I believe. Actually, Dark Bow might be close, but who cares about that worthless thing? The thing is it degrades to I think 50(?) over time. But you can easily solve that if you have 2 bows. Just keep track of the average xp you get per shot. Then track the xp you get until you've shot approximately 220-230 shots. Then switch to a different C'bow for the remaining 20-30 shots. That c'bow will degrade, and the other one will remain 10/10. Keep doing this and you'll have to use a degraded bow rarely, and almost always be using the full 100 range bonus. ~It's Super Effective!
