Say you'd like to know the individual stat boosts from an item but don't want to take off all of your armour and weapons and then have to open the equip item interface. If we can look up our exp by hovering over it, why not the individual stats of an equipped item?

Now, as you can see, we have the name of the item, so you know what you are checking and the stat boosts.

 

 

 

It's a pretty simple idea, the advantages few, but it would be much nicer to see a few more conveniences here and there.

 

It would allow us to know how much better a square shield is over a kite shield, or perhaps how many charges an item has left.

 

The whole point of the idea is to save time and make it easier to know just what benefit we get from wearing an item.

Thanks for the advice. I'll get around to changing abbreviations. I figured the extra info would be only useful for jewelery, such as how many charges a ring of forging had, or perhaps weapons/armour with inherent abilities, such as An examine isn't hard to come by though, so if anything I might omit the extra information.

That's true, but there's a lot of room. If the box was semi-transparent, that wouldn't be an issue at all. It would be sort-of like the first mage interface update (when they took out the scroll bar). The transparent box we have now could be used here too, so you could still see everything and get all the info you need.
