I grew up in a trailer home (I guess maybe 700 square feet?) with four other people, not to mention constant family, friends, and animals around. Now I live in what I'd consider a mansion (although I doubt someone else would, we're only 1800 square feet or so). Boohoo, they're wealthy. And a drop from 5 million to 1.25 million, while we find that a ridiculous amount of cash, probably shot a lot of those families down, probably below ourselves. He's only legally forced to be a member IF he wishes to reside in that neighborhood, and truth be told there are many neighborhoods like that - force you to sign contracts for various things if you want to live in them. By his logic I could say I'm legally forced to live in a neighborhood that isn't allowed an ocean view with beach access.
