being afk is part of the game. u can be afk but only if you are at the computer or otherwise. like if ur training and u gotta get something to drink or something thats ok. and when ur like looking through a guide and occassionaly check back at rs to see if ur dead or not thats ok.

Yes but the reason i was asking this is because of this in the manual, "

AFK training is Away From Keyboard training. While you are playing on our games, you must be at the computer. Away from keyboard training is not allowed, and you should log out when you leave the computer."

yea like their gonna somehow magically know ur away from the computer.

texhnically you could be reported, but there is no proof of you being afk so you really cant get in trouble for it.

Yes that looks as though AFK training is reportable under rule 7. Meaning even if you are leaving your keyboard to go get a drink or even to the restroom, you must log out of RS.

However, is it at all possible for them to really tell if you ran the the restroom or kitchen or whatever?.. Not likely.

I believe the idea of the rule is more-so based around the use of Bots which people can leave running and then walk away from the computer. That is where the AFK rule comes into play.

Apparently, my signature was to big.

woot chalk one up for me :P

Yes, it's reportable.

ya...its reportable, but like almost all the above comments state...how can they report you when there is no proof? unless jagex has istalled mico cameras in all of our computers to know when we leave? :ohnoes:

Ok thanks everyone. The reason i brought this up is because i got into a discussion with someone who told me they were afk at bandits for 40 minutes and i told them to be careful not to get reported :? .

This brings up why they increase the log out timer to 5 mins, so people could actualy get up and do something without having to get logged. But there was the chance they could get attacked by a random, but now that wont happen but you get teled away now.

The only way you can be punished for this is if you openly admit it in the chat, and someone reports you. They'll never like, look at your account and see what it was doing.
