The floor is the only thing with any type of texture here. Everything else has the same soft shading...the armor is same material as mime clothes. Rhys Posted August 10, 2005 Share Posted August 10, 2005 Hmmmm. Not liking this as much as recent pieces. The weapons are great and the background looks as good as ever. The characters though. The guy on the left isn't too bad but I don't know why but I think the one on the right just seems ... Unnatural. Don't get me wrong, it's a good piece of work but that guy just seems to let it down. I think it's for the reason Ryan stated about the armour having the same texture as the mime legs. I especially like the magic shortbow and the staff thingy about it though. The linework seems flawed in a few places, and the faces look... silly. If that even makes sense there. My second comment is that the rune boots need to be more rune-y on the left guy. More toe, less ankle. Again, you and your art own my soul out of sheer wow-factor. Hair is stringy!:D I think the reason is somewhere around the tune of 3 to 4 million gp :) He has explained before that customers like AND PAY FOR his style. So at this point, assume it is a given until they stop liking and paying for it. If we want innovation out of xman, let's have him do NON-SIG works. It would be more worth his, and our time. I second that comment. Theres something about it that isnt like you maybe the lack of texture? I think I prefer your other work. And no lol why do you always want to get stuff from John Lewis.
