March 26, 200917 yr So I figured I've not posted anything recently and was wondering what still needs improving... My most recent one: Comments? sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
March 26, 200917 yr Looks really LQ, background is really generic and it looks like you haven't made any attempt to blend. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
March 26, 200917 yr You use that one filter a lot, I can see it in your sig and in that piece :P Unless I'm wrong... To be honest, it's all falling towards the monotone side. Too much blues. What is the render? At first I thought it was something from Halo but it looks like a blue Power Ranger. The backround also seemed too random and busy. Looks like you threw a few c4d's around. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
March 29, 200917 yr The 2 filters you use certainly too much on Gimp are the wind and the motion blur. Wind on this one. Believe me, it takes very high skill to use these filters so that it doesn't seem LQ. So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.I strike out every other week.Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.Randox pretty much stays rational.Etc, etc
March 30, 200917 yr Hawkxs, I have never seen you try a stock...Maybe you should? Your render sigs all look the same. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

Believe me, it takes very high skill to use these filters so that it doesn't seem LQ. Haha what? Back away from the filters Hawk. Or, at least, try and make them more subtle. The image is also very contrasted and has no real flow or focal. Not to mention the text is crazy annoying (I don't want to tilt my head to read what you're trying to say. There is no reason to do that. If you want vertical text make it actually vertical, don't just make the text and rotate it 90 degrees. The background is probably the biggest offender for contrast though. It just has no smoothness, it's very rough and "harsh" ... for a lack of any better words.

There should be a vertical type tool on GIMP, if I remember back when I used GIMP for few days  2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
