FierceCold
My friend is a big time WOW player, and i've been struggling to compare the time it takes to max out a character in each. So i would like to know how long it takes to max melee compared to wow Thanks!
Cptbaker08
It varies completely. The majority of my friends that play MMORPGs, well all of them but 1..., have several characters. Some they spend alot of time on. Also i know if you play enough and know what you're doing on WoW you can get a lvl 70-80 in a week or so. Runescape seem to take longer to get higher levels. We have stats and that that depends on our levels. They need certain amount of exp to gain levels and their levels determine what they can use in cmbat and how well off they are. Thats just my 2 cents btw. And idk if this would really belong here or not. (Don't flame me but once i get high speed i plan on joining them in WoW) [hide=Drops]Slayer:Draconic Visage x3, Abyssal Whip x23, Dark Bow x3, Dragon Platelegs x3, Dragon Boots x40, Dragon Plateskirt x4, Shield Left Half x3, Dragon Medium Helms x10GWD:CS: Zamorakian Spear x2, Zamorak Hilt x1, Bandos Chestplate x1, Sara Sword x1DKs: Dragon Hatchet x3 Beserker Ring x1[/hide][hide=Completed Goals]Achieved April 26, 2009Achieved Sept. 15, 2009Achieved Nov. 21, 2009 Jan. 10, 2010 Achieved Mar. 5, 2010[/hide][hide=Goals][/hide]
My_Eggs
Most people who train seriously on WoW can get 80 in about 5-7 days play time. Thats not playing a few hours a day for 5-7 days, but 120-168 hours play time. I couldn't tell you how long it takes on RS though, because I don't even have any 99 skills. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Jagex'd out of my untrimmed hp cape on 6/14/2011.
dippymister
Rs exp rates are much much lower than WoW. I'm currently a level 76 on WoW, and its about 1.6m xp from 75-76. However, I'm getting about 2k xp per kill, and 20-30k xp per quest i turn in, which is about 1 every 5-10 mins, and almost always involves killing monsters. So... you're looking at probably 50k xp per 10 mins easily, so around 300k xp per hour. (which is usually around what i get an hour, this is rested btw). Anyways, you can get 1-80 in around 6 days gameplay if you know what you're doing. The fastest i've ever heard of people getting a 99 skill in rs is about 2 weeks, and thats usually with ridiculously fast xp like chins, and playing 6+ hours a day. Therefore, I think its safe to say that WoW xp is faster. Not to mention that I've been playing WoW for about half a year, and been playing rs for about 5 years and don't even have a 99 skill yet (I casually play both games) :ohnoes:My Guide on Obby Mauling! Theoknight2
getting level 80 in WOW is comparable to about 80 in a combat skill on RS. (not nolifing or soul wars, something like slayer from level 1)

Theoknight2
No i meant training something like attack, level 1 to 80, through slayer, is comparable to relaxed playing 1-80 on wow. Otherwise known as about a month.

Inuashakent
In WoW, getting level 80 is where the game starts for most peope. Raiding, high end equips, PvP... completey different from Runescape, where everything is to obtain level. (For most people) Wow purposely made 1-80 easier to level. Jacobrod
I've been playing both RS and WoW for about 4-5 years now, and WoW is a lot faster, i usually play RS longer and i still don't have a 99(I have made about 3 RS accounts), but i already have like 4 level 80s and another at level 46 that only took me about a week of casual playing to get. RS requires a lot more patience than WoW does, which is probably why i like RS better. Just thought i'd add this ;) [hide=Stats][/hide][hide=Total Exp Today][/hide]Talk on the phone for hours with schoolmates and you have an active social life.Raid naxx with some schoolmates on WoW and you're a fat menace to society with no ambition or motivation.
