Just wondering what people think of the amulet of fury........

I'm a keen slayer and want to get it to 85 (see signature to see how far i have left!) and i'm going to be doing it for a loooooooong time........ anyhoo: yesterday i broke the 2m gp total profit from slayer (go me  ) and then i want off and did some woodcutting....... when i get it to 70 i'll probably have enough money for a fury, however the possibility it will clear me out of cash again......... so........ people what do you think? would it be worth me getting a fury to go with my slayer? or wait forever to get bandos chestplate or something?

Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.

Buying a Fury is worth it if you have lots of spare cash. However, I see some of the highest levels still using Glory ammy. I've used both myself, and only really used the Fury to look wealther and sexier. ;) haha.

But yeah, try it and see what you think. :)

I used to use it, but the differences aren't all that large. A Glory has the same attack bonuses as a Fury, so it doesn't affect your kill speed all that much (yes, there is a slight difference, but since the strength bonus over a glory is small, it's only a slight difference), and I personally don't miss it all that much. Yes, I will probably buy a fury again at some point in the future, but in the mean time, I don't miss it. So yes, it is worth it, but if you don't have one, just keep on training and buy it when you manage to get the money -- don't knock yourself out trying to get it.

If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

The rule is, if you have extra money, spend it.

Since you'll be flat broke after, then don't buy it. It's a novelty, at best. If you want faster xp, there's much better things to spend 2.7m on, like cannon, super sets, familiar/summoning, or superhuman strength.

It's one of those things you'll buy and never question. It's just there, you will never sell it (well I wouldn't anyways), but it just gives you that little edge. If you want one, it is completely worth it in the long run, but I wouldn't go out of your way to buy it.

Don't go broke for a fury, although keep in mind that a fury is one of the best, if not THE best, expensive item that gives the highest stats for the money you put in.

Put simply, if you're going to go out buying the expensive stuff (Bandos, godswords, 3rd age, armadyl), fury should be the first thing you buy. Barrows and a black mask should still be bought before a fury though.

Glory is a nice substitute, but there's nothing like a fury :P Buy it if you don't have to sell your weapons/armour for it.

Just save up some money from doing daily tasks such as Manage Thy Kingdom and farming herbs, and eventually you'll have more than enough for those once expensive items such as a fury. I used to be in the same situation as you, but after farming herbs, doing MTK, and just playing the game and saving up, I had enough money to buy a few furies, without too much effort. Just save up for now.

Buy it as soon as you gain 1m more than the cost for it. I am normally against spending over a third of your bank value on 1 item but a fury is one of those necessary items that is actually worth its cost unlike Bandos chest and tassets or Godswords, its not a "fun" item for the rich but more of a necessity for all.

Also at your level you won't really need more than 1m for anything like pots, food or armor costs so having a spare mil for everyday needs should be plenty enough.

Just make sure you have the slayer essentials first like a set of Torags, a whip and most importantly a Black mask. If you have those then you work on your "secondary" items such as a fury, dragon boots, and an obby or fire cape(if you don't own a skill cape). Also things like barrows gloves (from rfd quest) and a rune defender would be great things to add to your equipment.

Apparently, my signature was to big.
