What's the best place to train combat nowadays?

Featured Replies

Back in '07 I remember the best being that desert camp where the guys would attack you if you were wearing a sara/zamorak item, and you could just let them beat on you, or pest control.

Is this still the case?

Nope, now we have Soul Wars, Ghostly Warriors, Armored Zombies, Zombie Monkeys, and Gorillas...I'm probably missing some, but those are off the top of my head.

Granted I'm not sure how Soul Wars is, but since people are there a lot, I figured it was decent. Ghostly Warriors and Gorillas with Dharok's isn't that bad.

Ghostly warriors are a great alternative to armored zombies for people who haven't done Defender of Varrock.

Slayer isn't the fastest/best exp, but it is more fun and makes you money.

Fun is subjective; and besides slayer is awful money, certainly far less than ghostly warriors or armored zombies.

Skeleton gorillas, the ones people chin, are better xp than zombie monkeys.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

And they are really semi-afkable. So that way you can just talk on forums and such and still rake in at least 200K in runes a night. lol

Experiments (lv 25 under Fenkenstrain's castle) are pretty good, since they have something like level 1 in all combat stats, but their hp is 100. However their only drop is bones.. Next time i want to train combat I will probably go for my slayer task.

Slayer's not good. It's bad xp, bad money, the charms aren't that great.
