April 16, 200917 yr Im currently level 78 woodcutting and making a profit so i can buy armour. I need about another 5 mill. Should i cut magics yet ? Ive heard its only worth doing it at level 99 for a profit. Is that true? If not when is best to start? thanks :)
April 16, 200917 yr Yews always seem like better money, no matter what the level. That's what my 99 woodcutting mate told me. (I hate woodcutting).
April 16, 200917 yr Never is not true. While yews are better xp-wise, I find that cutting magics at high woodcutting level (90+ or so) is more profitable than cutting yews. Twitter ||| Google+ ||| Facebook ||| LinkedIn ||| My very interesting weblog about science
April 16, 200917 yr Never. Yews are better. and Eucs are better than Yews. At a high wc level, you might consider the Cursed Magic/Normal Magic in the Wild. Lleyta is a really good place. Peaceful location, close to bank, and largely uncrowded. Go there. ~It's Super Effective! I disagree, I'd say from somewhere 80 - 85 woodcutting, cutting magic logs for selling is definitely more profitable than selling yew logs. Assuming one uses a rune hatchet or better.

Well tbh if you are into woodcutting for the long haul, its best to invest into a dragon hatchet, the 5-10% speed increase from the rune hatchet helps out. That's true, but yews are still better. Any sort of profit you get from woodcutting is more of a bonus than a reason to train it. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
April 17, 200917 yr I parcelled teaks with an Inferno Adze and the XP is great. Profit is minimal though. Trust the Gene Genie!
