May 2, 200917 yr So I am almost done with my 2nd 99 fletching which has left me with about 15m cash. I I have always wanted 99 crafting and 99 smithing so one of them is my next 99 goal. I am not after uber speed of the skill but I also need to be able to accompish it sometime this sentry. I have not done stealing creation but I do believe both of these goals will require me to learn and reap the benefits of the minigame. If you guys could give me some training suggestions that would be fantastic! :) Thank you very much! ~odie RIP MichaelangelopolousThanks to cowboy14 for the pimp sig!
May 2, 200917 yr Ill help with smithing: 1. Always use Stealing Creation Hammers, playing in a non combat SC clan like fastsc really gets these tools fast. 2. Get to 60 smithing first then you can reap the benefits of using the wonderful and magical Blast Furnace (it's so awesome it should be a god) 3. Once you've reached 60 smithing you can bring a ton of mithril ore and coal noted (2 coal for every mithril ore as the furnace only uses half it would normally take) to the blast furnace with some SC hammers and make mithril crossbow bolts (unf). This profits and is great experience at that level. Use the Blast Furnace theme world (I think it's 58) for maximum speed and help form others. (The gate to the anvils there is extremely annoying though) 4. Continue making mithril bolts until it starts getting slow to level up (I did them to level 80 (my goal) but found they were starting to get slow around there. However many people just stick with them until 99 smithing. I have no idea what else to make besides these that profits at decent xp. Hope this helps getting those first 20 levels or so. May 2, 200917 yr if you make iron nails, use sc hammers and sell nails to sawmill, it will cost you next to nothing but will take relatively long, if you wanna speed it up a bit later on, make addy arrowtips, it cost around 3.2gp per exp, or 32m from about level 84-99 and always use sc hammers, people say in the time it takes to play 3 games you could have made the cash/exp saved back. this is wrong you can get 96k exp equal there, smithing gives about 45k exp making iron plates. without hammers, dobule with ]
May 2, 200917 yr Smithing is my favorite skill so here's my advice on what i've found; and it may give you some choices. 1) People have advised me to do cannon balls from my current level to about 88 and i should then make the money to make addy plates from 88 to 99 with the sc hammers. 2) You could buy iron ore and rings of forging (1 ring per 140 odd ore), smelt them into bars, then smith them into the knives.... you'll roughly make about 60 something gp per bar you smith into knives. 3) Blast furnace..... i haven't done this method yet, so if you do please tell me what it's like..... however many people also said to me that as an alternative to cballs i could make mithril items that make a profit like bolts or arrow tips. those are perhaps the main ways to do it : Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D
May 2, 200917 yr ones you get 88, you can buy lots of addy ores and coal and do blast furnace and make addy plates.. you can make up till 1.5k profit every plate. but addy ores are not easy to buy so you will need to keep an offer in the GE [hide]visage drop 11/01/09goals:all skills 70+ (completed)all skills 80+98% Of teenagers surround their minds with rap music, if you're part of the 2% that stayed with rock, put this in your signature, ROCK IS BETTER![/hide]
May 2, 200917 yr Author Thanks all for the advice! <3 I would also love some info on crafting. RIP MichaelangelopolousThanks to cowboy14 for the pimp sig!
May 2, 200917 yr /enter sx2 My Crafting level is 91. >_> Not too high but I know what im doing. Every day, over a span of 24 hours you can buy 600 bstaves, 137.5xp (?? Around there..) each, so thats a bit if you can afford putting 5M in the Ge for a day. You can get the dailies from Zaff too. <- Air bstaves ftw. I calced that, green dhide bodies are the best money:xp ratio, second is, I think black dhide chaps (other than air battlestaves). Blowing fishbowls can be decent if you cant get leather, they do sell, and lose around 110gp each. It's expensive, and a bit slower than normal, but its alright. Jewellery is something that gets me, I dont know why.. I dont like it but people say its good. I think emerald rings are ok to do now, note that I havent checked if anything sells since I dont do jewellery, so, someone else can info that. Err, SC needles arent much of a help in comparison to smithing, they get owned quickly, and unless you actually like SC a bit I wouldnt bother using them on needles. Also, I think if you can use Lunar, it would be smart to stock up on Sand from Bert and Seaweed from Arhein (Catherby docks) every day. Turning into molten glass gives some XP, and mage on the side too. It's nice, quick and easier than normal glassing. And last but not least, Air orbs can be a pain buying at times. The prices have really went through the roof since I started crafting them, I think its my fault, sorry. :-# . So using molten glass and Air Orbing in spare time can help your mage, and money. You basically finish an air battlestaff for 500gp~ cheaper than what it would normally sell. Overall though, air orbs dont make much money (save in comparison to make), and NPC trading, 600k gp per hour(?) can get you much more money, but no XP in mage :P Hope I helped. I dont need a siggy no moar.
May 2, 200917 yr Battlestaves are probably the most cost efficient. Just buy as many as you can from Zaff with your Varrock armour, buy as many from the GE, and then buy/enchant some orbs. Generally you can profit by a bit, but the real hurdle is actually acquiring large numbers of staffs. For pure speed, dragon hides /w SC needles. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
