How to level Strength pure?

Spooks

Recommended Posts

Currently my Stats are:

Def: 1

Attack: 20

Strength: 40

I have noticed after a couple hours of PvP that melee pures are very much at a disadvantage at lower levels.

Therefore I have tried to keep a high Str to hit high on an unnsespecting mage/ranger

however I hit many 0's. But by levelling my attack i fear it wont really benefit the key trait of a strength pure of hitting very high for their level.

Any tips? (keep levelling Str or levell attack to 30)

Thanks

How many runescapers does it take to fix a lightbulb?

50, 1 to screw it in and 49 to complain that it was better before.

My strength pure named Kinoforever got 20 atk and 48 strength and i can't say its that bad, ive pked 300k in value so far.

Just avoid rangers, they own you bad. Waiting for targets and killing other meleers is what you should do.

About leveling i leveled 41-48 strength IN edge in 1-2 days of fun. I really recommend training against other pures, fun and u wont even notice that at the end of the day you have earned 20k str exp.

Get 99 str and 40 attack. Can't do any better than that (unless you are a maxed main of course).

There are tons more locations for pures to train in members. If you are interested in making a pure I'd suggest raising stats there for a month or two.

I thought the standard F2P STR pure was 40 atk, rune wep, iron armour (or iron / green D-hide mix with 40 range), STR 50+ and always on strength.

30 Attack would be addy weapon, with higher bonuses, so as well as hitting less zeros, it should still increase average/max hit.

Could be a way to go, only thing is, what's the market like for addy scimmy, the price could be over inflated compared to the more popular rune and store available mithril.

20 att, 40 str is good. Next step is 30/50 then 40/60 continuing to 40/99.

Range/R2H'ers will eat you up until you are 40/80+ so stay away from them, or join them. Mages are kings of F2P until level 35ish where the reangers come into thier own.

good luck!

Range/2hers in F2P are very fun.

40 Attack

65 Strength

1 Defence

1-44 Prayer (1 is awesome)

70 Range

59 Magic

Fantstic,

I take it they just range till there low on hp then swing the 2H?

What would I wear?

Thanks

Coif

Power Ammy/Strength Ammy

Leather body (Monks robe if you have prayer)

Green D'hide Chaps

Green D'hide Vambs

Maple bow

30 Adamant Arrows

+ Rune 2h

Personally I bring a 2h, scimitar, and bow. Protect the 2h, risk the scimitar.

Bow -> Scimmy -> 2h is pretty good too

I trained on goblins til about your level, then went to minataurs (the level 12 ones) in level 1 SoS. Collect all iron arrows as you will need them later on for range training. Once you are at 50 str, I suggest going to the level 23? Ones a couple of rooms away.

Range on the level 12 ones once you are about level 20 range. After 50 range go again to the level 23 ones. I ranged to 70 on those!

Depends on levels, and if you're gonna get pray.

from 45-60ish the range/r2h'er is the king of the BH hill. After 60cb though the 1def, 1pray strength pure begins his dominance. Hitting 21's with scim and pot only, and 25/26 with R2H takes away the speed of the ranger. get them low, then keep hitting em.

I did both - got 84 range and 85 strength and did quite well. 1 prayer helps a lot for the range/r2h as you dont need to worry about prayer switching, or refilling prayer points after each fight.

Now am a strength only pure eating rangers for breakfast with 92 strength.

Do the vampire slayer quest. Gives enough xp for like 1-20 attack
