The only tools worth getting are the hammer and needle.

The weapons are in no way worth it.. They don't last long enough but yes people do get armor.

People get the weapons either because they enjoy wasting time or because they are trying to find the "best new training".

Apparently, my signature was to big.

I'm in agreement here. The hammer and needle considerably reduce the cost of the expensive skills, construction, smithing and crafting, halving the amount of materials u need to buy. Most of the other tools give double experience but u could earn that by not playing stealing creation.

I find the fletching knife to be pretty worth it aswell as the hammer and needle. With the fletching knife I use about 4-5% of the charges for a pack of yew longs. Although the knives do get used up fairly quickly, I think its worth it.

Jagex'd out of my untrimmed hp cape on 6/14/2011.

Weapons blow. End of story.

I once used a clay hatchet for maple trees. What a waste of time. Sure, I got 220xp per log (wearing seers headbant 2 for extra 10xp per log which the hatchet multiplied by 2), but it used nearly 20% per invetory (specificaly it used 19%), and unlike say the clay pick, which is equivalent to rune, the clay hatcjet is basicly bronze. Willows with rune was WAY faster. I use hammer for smithing, and especialy for con because I am cheep (all the money I save goes towards gilding my gouse in gold leaf top to bottom). I dont train fletch but I can see the logic there, and same with crafting.
