new250
I think Slayer is harder. Using simple math and some of my friends who have 99 slayer, i found that in order to go from 1-99 slayer you would have to play the equivilent of 5.4 months, only slayer,no breaks.I dont think 99 rc takes quite that long to get. Sir_Kurity
How long did it take for the first guy to get 99 slayer? I'm pretty sure it was less than 5 months... Also RC is pretty slow to. And arguably more boring. O.O

And arguably more boring. Zezima did it in early july 2005 I think (one week before farming was released). So yeah about 5 months, thing is it's not a good comparison. This was 2005 without black mask/slayer helm and summoning. While RCing was released in 2004 without abyss/pouches, summoning to speed things up and the run recovery ability. mmmcannibalism
I think it depends on the person's tolerance for grinding. If someone can't handle the grind of rc then slayer is going to be easier; however, I think slayer is harder in general based on the xp rate. Orthodoxy is unconciousnessthe only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed.
onedaysoon
Slayer, is in my opinion easier. Sure you can get more Runecraft exp per hour, however the repedativness of it can become a real challenge. With Slayer you are constantly doing different things. Many, many people say that Slayer is their favourite skill, how many people say that Runecrafting is? Not as many, this probably means something wouldn't you agree? Summing up Slayer is easier to train, although getting 99 will take longer.
Atom Smash40
runecrafting by far. its slower, and (ripped from The Zappery) has a less exp gain average per click [example being each click in rc you probably get 49 exp average per click (at nats and 75 rc with all 4 pouches)] plus its dangerous while crafing through the abyss because you dont get to bring full inventory of food or guthans or unicorn/bunyip to heal. and its more monotonous. and not afw-able (you cant wait for you guy to do the whole run, whereas nowadays in slayer you just click and your unicorn will heal you, etc.) ~ 3,072nd to 99 Mining on August 30th, 2009 ~~ 112,084th to 99 Magic on April 16th, 2011 ~~ 131,681st to 99 Crafting on March 29, 2019 ~~ 178,385th to 99 Prayer on April 2, 2019 ~~ 234,921st to 99 Defence on May 9, 2019 ~~ 173,480th to 99 Herblore on June 21, 2019 ~~ 155,160th to 99 Smithing on July 16, 2019 ~
Yosonic
Runecrafting is the toughest one. But mining beats em to it. :-# Hardly. Mining is rather quick, 60-70k an hour, or 40k an hour unfocused, and easy. Runecrafting is very, very dull, aswell as having a terrible exp rate, with it's very max, at 99, being around 40k an hour. Slayer is much easier, simply because you have scene changes. The exp rate of runeceafting doesnt change at all...Even at 99 >.> It depends on what your crafting :l
EpicWin
Runecrafting: 40k+ xp an hour. Slayer: 25-30k xp an hour. 'Nuff said. No. This topic is about the harder 99, not the xp rate. So you can pretty much compare summoning ( up to 1.5M+ exp/h ) to Runecrafting which is harder? Exp rate per hour shows a lot whether the skill is hard or not. Slayer is slower which somewhat makes it harder, as it consumes much more time.

Slayer takes longer, therefor you still click more. As you have to collect drops, drink potions, sometimes eat etc. Also at some tasks you need to add cannonballs to cannon etc. As well if pietying, monsters die faster meaning you can AFK less. EpicWin
This debate could go on which has more clicks due to different training methods and other factors.
