May 24, 200917 yr How much money and exp per hour can be made from charging air orbs? Do you think its a good way to train magic, or should I just stick with alching?
May 24, 200917 yr While I haven't done a timed run myself, I estimate that a full load takes about a minute and 30 secs to 2 mins to complete (It's a pretty slow spell) and the travel from Draynor bank is about a minute. So that's roughly 400-500 orbs an hour. An orb + 3 cosmics is about 751 and they sell for 1221. That's a profit of 470 per orb. You're looking at around 190-240K an hour. It's certainly a different approach to training magic. While it is slower, you are almost guaranteed a profit opposed to alching. It also requires a little less attention. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
May 24, 200917 yr Stick with alching, I estimate it's around 200k per hour and you can barely do more than 25 runs per hour. It's a bad way to train magic as the action of charging the orbs is slow and running there takes a long time. It's generally inefficient.
May 24, 200917 yr But.... add a terrorbird, with infinite run, and 12 more spaces, and it could be quite good  I left my wife for a level 59 tank mage
May 24, 200917 yr I typically fletch some bows, blow some glass, or add some pineapples to pizzas while I wait for my energy to recharge. This makes sure I'm running all the way and I'm not wasting energy standing still to do those tasks anyway. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
May 24, 200917 yr Charging Air Orbs is good experience but only worth it if you want to train crafting as well as magic. If you just want magic, stick with alching. Cowards can't block Warriors.
May 24, 200917 yr I don't remember how much you can make per hour, but don't forget you can increase that amount by using a terrorbird to run, and make it full (12) with uncharged orbs, and carry a full inventory (unless you're using ancients to teleport) of orbs, all except for 5 spaces. It increases amount you charge per run by 7 :S Also, if you want to profit like this, then charging air orbs is the way to go. Alternatively, you can charge and alchemize them to save money and earn 140xp per ;) 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]
May 24, 200917 yr I was able to get roughly 500-550 air orbs charged per hour with a terrorbird...something like 40k exp/hr, maybe 200k gp/hr. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
May 24, 200917 yr About same as alching Make about 200k an hour and good mage xp Not even close to the same XP as alching. The 200k an hour is nice for training a skill that usually loses quite a bit, adding the fact that this is completely AFKable as long as you have runescape sounds on so you know if you're getting attacked. I'm pretty sure you can climb down the ladder and Teleport out before a Rev hits you while you attempt to teleport out (GLORY) I dont need a siggy no moar.
May 25, 200917 yr Isn't tabbing better xp? I got b2p and I remember it was about 300k an hour if i concentrated and animation cancelled. You use a friend's house who has the mantle, he/she should have a portal room next to the mantle. Tele to falador, bank, rinse and repeat. I remember it was about 300-400 gold each tab at the best of times :) Since each tab toom about 3s to make, in a minute you make 20x300=60k gold. But you use time to bank, so I'd say you spent about 45 minutes tabbing in an hour, so yeah 250k+ an hour if you get b2p. Note: I haven't b2ped in months now, i aviansie for money :)
