May 26, 200917 yr My setup is full void, fury, snakeskin boots, rune crossbow, mithril bolts, and unholy book. Should I use a ring of wealth or an archer ring? Goals: 94 magic94 ranged55 slayerAddy gloves-done

May 26, 200917 yr In general, what should I use? In general, I would choose the Archer Ring. There are a lot of slayer monsters that have uncommon drops that aren't worth as much as their common drops. (Like Dust Devils or Aberrant Spectres)
May 26, 200917 yr ROW increases the chance on a rare drop. Since the ROW increases the drop by a certain percentage, it only increases the chance on a rare drop by a very small amount. A combat ring speeds up kills, thus increases the chance on a high drop in a given amount of time, due to speeding up kills. So, both rings increase your chance on a rare drop in their own way, but the combat ring gives extra experience in a given time. Therefore I'd go with the archer ring. May 26, 200917 yr Use it on Dark beasts and Abyssal demons, as well as spiritual mages. Basically, whatever drops something rare. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
May 26, 200917 yr Use it on Dark beasts and Abyssal demons, as well as spiritual mages. Basically, whatever drops something rare. No. Equip it when you are fighting monsters that have MORE than one rare drop. That way, the ROW acts and makes the rare drop more valuable. Such are the cases stated by Inuashakent. I'd also add fire giants, black demons and any enemy that drops more than one rune item.

I would draw the line ABOVE rune, so that excludes rune items. (That's how much I value my time, at least) Every monster has rare drops, be it Rune items, Mystics, etc so if it drops something valuable such as Whips and Dark bows, the second wheel will never be just that 1 rare item. I should have said "Basically, whatever drops something valuable." [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
May 27, 200917 yr Archer ring... honestly, I've never had ANY rare drops w/ a ROW. Whenever I use a combat ring rare drops flock to me lol. I've gotten several dragon drops from the Tormented Demons, God Wars bosses, Dagannoth Kings, and KQ all w/o the ROW. Needless to say those aren't really slayer monsters, but my point still stands... sorta.
May 27, 200917 yr ROW. I always use ROW on slayer tasks. Using a berserker or archer ring just didn't suit me, and I didn't notice the extra bonuses. 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]
