What's semi-amusing to me is that a significant portion of the black community in America still blames Whites for all of their problems. Your ancestors got here for a bad reason, but don't for a second act like you'd be better off if you were back there.

 

But yeah, all sorts of stuff you get is from slaves, child labor, etc.

Well, I don't think its as simple as that. Racism still exists, and its entirely plausible that a number of black people are turned down for jobs/opportunities that are given to equally or even less qualified white people. I won't say that black peoples are being oppressed by white people, however I also won't say that they have equal opportunities, as I don't think that's true yet.

Yeah, all the "I'm special 'cuz I'm black and my race has been oppressed" or the "I'm special 'cuz I'm white and my race was strong enough to be oppressors" people. Those folks need to grow up and see that their skin color is about a big a deal as how much snot they can fling out of their nose - everyone's different, and most people get really disgusted when you bring it up.

Some people are like that, but thankfully here most of the times where I see groups segregated it's because they share common culture and just naturally associate with people of their same culture. It's just bad when they start isolating themselves more and more or placing themselves higher than others. Or, of course, the groups that fight for history's sake, are not good.

One thing that annoys me about black people is that a lot of them claim that white people can't use the n-word, but they use it more often that most people use "like". They say that its different when they use it, however the black people who say that are racists. But I don't think they realise that racism is a two way street. However I also acknowledge the possibility that most of the black people who say the n-word is bad and that most of the black people who say the n-word all the time are two different groups, and the former could be as angry at the latter as they are at white people who use it, but I have been exposed to those who use the n-word but get angry at white people for using it in virtually the same context, and those people annoy me. Either everyone can use it or no one can.

The only times I've ever heard my dad use the n word have been times where he's been describing thugs, and I don't think the people he's directed it towards have ever been black.

 

But yeah, that word is so often used in rap music casually, which bothers me because I could never say it without offending a lot of people.
