Why are you so paranoid about someone getting your IP? It's extremely difficult to pinpoint an exact location unless you happen to be working for the government. And even if so, they can just subpoena your location through your ISP.

Why are you so paranoid about someone getting your IP? It's extremely difficult to pinpoint an exact location unless you happen to be working for the government. And even if so, they can just subpoena your location through your ISP.

I'm not, persay. It just will occasionally lead to funny stuff - for example, I know that the proxy I used for Seany's IP tracking page was connected to another proxy leading to somewhere in Europe, then back over here, then back to Europe again. So if he tried to track me, it'd probably say I was in a server cabinet in Germany or some such nonsense. And then, were he more immature than he actually is, he would RAEG SO HARD.

So essentially, I troll IP-grabbers with a proxy.

Only way they can grab your IP from these boards is if you clicked a link or loaded a scraper image. The only real purpose to getting an IP address is to ddos them. For sites using it for moderation, they use it for identifying who someone is, but they already have that information so they wouldn't need to use any of those methods.

But, whatever. I just find using proxies is very inconvenient, and on these boards many of them are banned since people use them for malicious purposes.

As for the IP thing. Its highly unlikely I'd get a very accurate location on you, I think a 50-80% chance that it's even the right city, but with a little more personal info, like part of a name, I could probably find you.

Note: I don't mean to sound threatening, just saying, it's doable, pretty much all by google tbh.
