I was on the edge of the cliff of Sanity. I'm afraid of heights, but I wasn't at that moment. I looked over the edge and my heartbeat didn't even accelerate. I turned around, looked at the mountain behind me, saw those at the top. All so sane, yet all so lost in a forest of realism and solid beliefs. I turned back, stepped onto the edge, and took a leap of faith. Off I went, flying through the air, seeing how far I'd fall and how quickly I'd land. I laughed and smiled, feeling the insanity in the air. After falling for an indeterminate length of time, I spun in the air to see if I could still see that peak, up touching the clouds. I saw it, and recalled the thin air, shaking my head and defeating the thoughts I'd had supporting my return to Sanity. But Insanity is a long fall, and I wanted my old things back, so I flew back up. Because I was insane and thought I could fly. I made it, but I know now there's always the option to jump feet first.
