I would first like to thank everyone else who has posted in this thread, especially those who have posted more than me, because without you, we wouldn't have reached this point. It has truly been a group effort, and this wouldn't have been possible without the endless hours the posters of this thread have spent spamming in the forum games section of a RuneScape forum. It takes true dedication. You guys are all special in your own ways, even if I've never liked you or don't like you anymore.

 

I would next like to thank my parents for putting me on this planet, and making me female. I believe that by taking this P8K get I have broken the glass ceiling once again for women everywhere.

 

Now, I'd like to thank the other people in my life. The ones I post interesting tidbits, criticisms, complaints, and full out rants about. The ones I love, the ones I hate, and the ones I stalk on Facebook for no good reason. You have provided me content for many of my posts. Also, in this section I'll include another group of people who have provided the content of my posts: people who put pictures of cats on the internet. You're all amazing people, and I thank every one of you.

 

I'll now move on to thank my means and side entertainment. First, means. I thank HP for making this laptop on which I have posted to receive this page get, my university for providing it to me for hundreds of dollars each semester, the retarded cable company with basically a monopoly who has provided me with internet, my mother for paying for parts of these, Google Chrome, and my fingers, the greatest appendages. As for side entertainment, I'll need to organize most of it in a list, but I'll first thank YouTube (and Vevo in this case) and Facebook themselves. Now, on YouTube, I'd like to thank several artists:

While obtaining the get, I was listening to "Marry the Night", as I am now. For some reason, I am obsessed with this song currently and cannot stop listening to it and watching the video. I thank Lady Gaga for being herself, growing as an artist, and giving her talent to the world. Some people may deny that she is talented, but in her performance-oriented mind is a sort of genius that most of us are probably incapable of understanding. Her music may be pop music, but her voice is great, and she plays piano very well. Her videos may be weird, but they have grown in quality by so much; I watched all of them Sunday when I was awake until 6 AM and noticed a decrease in product placement, obvious sex appeal, and images of money, and increases in detail quality of video (not specific to her, but HD is sooo much better), dancing skill, set variety, and many other things. I wish for her to remain herself and continue to shock the world (and make Def Jam feel stupider for dropping her, even though that's probably part of why she's made it so far.)

Even though her album is yet to be released, I have enjoyed listening through most of its songs on YouTube many times, and enjoy her variety. From amusing dance beats and strong sexual references to cute and reflective lyrics over simple beats, all of her music is enjoyable to me. I can't wait for her to grow as an artist, but for now, I await news about the arrival of her soon-due daughter, by her best friend and now fiance, who she plans on naming Emilia. I forgive her for not being able to produce more music videos, and I'm glad her album was delayed because she's adding music. I must also thank the Cataracs for discovering her music on MySpace and bringing her the success she has already found. I'll also mention that whenever I hear "It's the Cataracs" in any song my blood runs faster.

 

-Third, Adele. "I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded

That for me, it isn't over" -- "Someone Like You"

I hope she heals well from her recent throat surgery, because her voice is amazing. Her lyrics are strongly emotional, and her passion in her voice is amazing. When she performs, her voice is just as strong in impact. Her career is also in its beginning, and I'd like to hear a lot more from her, even though she'll probably have to go through some more heartbreak to have such strong emotions. Her music makes me feel good even though a lot of it is sad; some of it is like "dude, you're dumb, I'm stronger than you and not putting up with your crap anymore" and it's super cool.

 

-Fourth, Ke$ha. "You must be blind if you can't see

You'll miss me till the day you die" -- "Blind"

For a long time now, I have loved Ke$ha. Even though all of her social network posts lately have been about putting beards in her mouth and I find that to be disgusting, her beats and lyrics amuse me to no end. Becoming a fan of hers was a turning point in the history of my musical tastes. "Tik Tok" annoyed me to no end when I first heard it, but it soon became the first song I'd choose to play every time I got into the car with Cyndi because we'd repeat lines at each other. Many of her songs have been this way for us, so she leads to a bunch of nostalgia. Restoring my love for shallow pop music, Ke$ha made me love hearing about glitter, alcohol, and meaningless sex. Also, she shoots a bunch of unicorns in her video for "Blow", and that's just magically awesome.

 

-Fifth, Nicki Minaj. "I believe that life is a prize,

Nicki Minaj is colorful in every way. I used to think she was obnoxious and annoying, but that was before I went full-on pop music derp fan. Once I realized that she is a crazy talented female rapper and has collaborated with 294785 people already in her short career, I grew some respect for her. She's quite the performer; like most sell-out pop female artists of today, she dresses outrageously, and she is a spaz on stage. I mean, she took people's attention away from the Angels at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show this year (when she, quite appropriately, sang during the section modeling items from the "Pink" line). She's crazy.

 

-Sixth, Rihanna. "It's the way I'm feeling I just can't deny

But I've gotta let it go" -- "We Found Love"

She's been around a while, but Rihanna has grown too. She started off rocky and simple, but she's been through a lot and random singles of hers really entertain me. "We Found Love" really intrigues me with the contrast between the light, happy, upbeat, simple song, and the dark message it carries, shown in the music video. I've listened to that song my fair share of times lately and watched the video a few times to notice more things. I find this point in my musical taste autobiography an appropriate time to mention that I've read through the entire Wikipedia articles for all of these artists, because I'm a stalker.

 

-Seventh, Rise Against. "And I don't know how we woke up one day somehow thought we knew

Exactly what we're supposed to do." -- "Roadside"

Change in pace, I know. This list isn't really ordered right because I really like these guys. I'll make a playlist containing the likes of the aforementioned artists and then throw in a couple Rise Against songs to stand out from the rest. They're another group I listen to when I get into certain moods. The pop music likes all come from Cyndi, and Rise Against was introduced to me by Jessie. Just goes to show how much I'm affected by the interests of my close friends. I should pay attention more to the messages Rise Against puts in their music and the things they advocate, but I don't creepy stalk them like I do pop singers.

 

-Eighth, Sick Puppies. "Go ahead tell me you'll leave again

You'll just come back running

Holding your scarred heart in hand

It's all the same" -- "All the Same"

Yeah yeah, I've talked about them too much or whatever, but I like them. Another mood band. Got obsessed for a while. For a while, I was listening to them constantly, or a combination of them, Ke$ha, and Rise Against, all artists from whom I have legally purchased or obtained music. Now that I look at it, I've gotten music from all of these people either from CDs or purchased on iRapeyourwalletanddon'tpaytheartistsanywayTunes. Anyway, I got a little stalkish obsessive with Sick Puppies too, they're Australian, which is awesome. They became famous from a video of "All the Same" with people in a mall and free hugs. I enjoy their music, happy and sappy or rocky and vicious.

 

-Ninth, Katy Perry. "You've become what you despise

A stereotype" -- "Circle the Drain"

Gospel singer gone dirty, Katy Perry is entertaining for her obnoxious variety. Knowing she was formerly a gospel singer just makes her music all the more amusing. Some of it might be heartfelt, but she's living off fame right now and getting that high maintenance thing she didn't used to have. Nevertheless, her music is catchy, and her videos are usually either sad or quite hilarious.

 

--Tenth, David Guetta. "I just wanna let it go for the night,

That would be the best therapy for me." -- "Memories"

So, he doesn't sing often, but David Guetta is a chill DJ who of course must collaborate with many artists. His beats are good enough for the radio and to earn Grammy nominations, and I'm no judge of DJs, but hey, that's good right? I like him.

 

--Eleventh, LMFAO. "No shoes, no shirt, and I still get service

WAAAAAAHt" -- "Sexy and I Know It"

Dunno how I missed them, but they're so amusing. I mean, during Jersey Shore season, one of their songs starts the show and hearing that makes me all excited every Thursday night. I love singing obnoxiously to their music, as some of the things are outrageous for me to ever sing. Whenever faced with the line I quoted, I say "yeah, I get more service without a shirt" and feel special. Uncle and nephew, obnoxious, unattractive, entertaining men, they give me energy.

 

--Twelfth, Pitbull. "Took my life from negative to positive

I just want y'all know that

And tonight, let's enjoy life" -- "Give Me Everything"

Pitbull is another one who collaborates with whoever he wants to because he has a unique rapping voice. I can pick it out anywhere. He's in a bunch of songs too that make me laugh, and he moves at a manageable speed so I can keep up and feel special to rap a verse or two.
