PURESMITHER
Hey, As you may know, EVE Online is one of the best games ever \ . I was wondering if there was anyone here who has a subscription to it? I would like to know if (and how) it is possible to make 100 million ISK in 45 days starting from a new account? If anyones interested in EVE Online you can obtain a 14 day free trial here: http://www.eveonline.com/ Proud Legionairre of the 10th Legion of Kandarin.Search for "The 10th Legion of Kandarin" on RSOF to join a small, friendly clan!270 Quest Points and countingRemember - In the gene pool, there is no life guard. :PYou're not getting my point. Nero
Buy a month sub and sell it for ISK. That's probably the best way to get startup money in that game, unless you like mining :| Vienna Raszyn Warsaw Klushino
TheValeyard
Surely if it was the best game ever there would already be a thread for it.
Nadril
I'll say it again, love the games concepts (full PvP, in depth crafting and character development) hate the game. No other game causes me to fall asleep like EVE does. (I've tried getting into the game at least 3 times.)
Jaziek
I read stuff about it, and want to play it, and then I remember. Eve is ridiculous time sink of a "game" which drives people past the brink of insanity.
Harakiri
I believe there was a zero punctuation based on this game: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/ ... Eve-Online
PURESMITHER
The reason there are no EVE threads here is because everyone who is paying for EVE is not doing any computer time not based around EVE >_ Proud Legionairre of the 10th Legion of Kandarin.Search for "The 10th Legion of Kandarin" on RSOF to join a small, friendly clan!270 Quest Points and countingRemember - In the gene pool, there is no life guard. :PYou're not getting my point. RayOxide
Or maybe because EVE is grindland. I dont need a siggy no moar.
Seraphi
Up until know, I have been referring to WoW as the almighty social life devourer, then you reminded me about Eve. This game WILL annihilate all hope you have of ever going outside again. As Ray said, its one giant grindfest.
Nadril
You both know you don't actually grind in EVE right? Levels are obtained over time.
PURESMITHER
^ What he said. EVE, IMHO, has some of the best gameplay features in the MMORPG world. The whole storyline of EVE is made by the players - and the really big Corps can make monumentous changes to the EVE Universe just by invading another large corps space. If anyones been playing EVE for a while they'll know of the BoB's invasion of the North, one alliance leader managed to take over a whole mass of EVE space with his fleets in a six month campaign. Try doing that in Runescape/WoW. RayOxide
You both know you don't actually grind in EVE right? Levels are obtained over time. Well, the length of time it takes for a level and the way you get it basically makes EVE one big grindfest. But I have heard good things of its overall PvM and stuff. I dont need a siggy no moar. Try doing that in Runescape/WoW. Like I said though, I'd play EVE forever if the combat didn't bore me to tears. Clearly it isn't my type of game, but I wish it was more like Wing Commander or some other space sim gameplay. Of course that is why I'm looking forward to Jumpgate:Evolution. Well, the length of time it takes for a level and the way you get it basically makes EVE one big grindfest. But I have heard good things of its overall PvM and stuff. You don't have to be online to level Ray. There is nothing grindy about the game at all. And it hardly has any PvM worth mentioning. You really have no clue, do you. RayOxide
Wow I screwed up big time. -.- I didnt mean PvM, I meant adventure gameplay or w,e you call it. I guess thats why I said PvM, zoned out. Plus if im wrong here, It's only because I've HEARD about that. Although I have seen EVE a bit irl. I dont need a siggy no moar.
Nadril
It is a very large game and very sandboxy so maybe that is what you meant. Still though on the grind issue you're completely wrong.

RayOxide
I wasnt arguing. Why does TIF have a crap average e-vocabulary? It is a very large game and very sandboxy so maybe that is what you meant. I heard it was adventurous. EDIT: Fine, if it isnt grindy, it isnt grindy, but I'm not the only one who thinks it's grindy. :| I dont need a siggy no moar. PURESMITHER
If you join a good corp (in a good ol' PVP alliance) early, you never have to grind. Most alliances will have a logistical backbone which can provide cheap ships, equipment and many other usable equipment. You cannot enjoy EVE when you play "single player" - it just gets boring to quickly. (Unless you go solo pirating, which will likely get you to a dead end of not being able to get new ships or travel much very quickly). Some people really do enjoy the mining (grind) side of EVE, and thats good for them - they provide us with our l33t ships. :D Proud Legionairre of the 10th Legion of Kandarin.Search for "The 10th Legion of Kandarin" on RSOF to join a small, friendly clan!270 Quest Points and countingRemember - In the gene pool, there is no life guard. :PYou're not getting my point. Seraphi
To be completely honest, I would play it a bit, but it just takes so long to get anything at all done, and if you aren't dedicated to it, you wont really get anywhere at all. I like the "Epic campaign" part of it where you can go to war for like weeks at a time, but to get to that part of the game you have to go through the incredibly long process of getting levels and money.
