the majority of runescape players are jerks, i got a gilded platlegs clue which i was very happy about, as i am when i get a good clue, but my freinds list was out i saw gamer at the G.E before so typed out "yay gilded legs clue :D" a guy comes up to me

 

"hey dume"

 

"hello :D"

 

"guess what?"

 

"What?"

 

"No-one cares! <33333333333"

 

i felt like my reward was a load of crap after that and the conclusuion is: Runescape is full of *cabbage*heads.

This was my initial reaction as well.

 

 

 

The majority aren't like that though, just the incredibly vocal minority.

Sometimes, if your in the middle of the GE people don't want to know how rich you are.

 

 

 

Maybe if your killing an iron, and just got a visage or something and yell it out, but walking into GE with the clear intention of showing off is just asking for it.

Yeah, I was blackjacking today and this guy came, opened the curtain, waited a few minutes so that Ali the Dyer walked in and then proceeded to hit the bandit I was blackjacking to make it follow him outside the house. He took over five minutes of his time just to waste a minute or so of mine.

 

 

 

I think there is definitely a small minority that is rotten to the core. However, the majority of scapers aren't too bad, it's just that the [cabbage]holes are easier to remember.

There's quite a few idiots who play RS but I wouldn't say they were the majority by any stretch of the imagination.

I haven't really had any issues with idiots on Runescape so far, mainly because I forget to turn public chat back on after a trip to the World 2 GE. My biggest problem was with someone who was cursing at my brother.

 

 

 

Anyways, I have realized a few things as I have lived my life:

 

1. Teenage males, for the majority, are complete and total jerks/idiots/whatever. Thank God I'm part of the mature minority.

 

2. Teenage males are the people most likely to be playing violence-based video games, such as Halo, Call of Duty, even Runescape(although Runescape is a bit milder.)

 

 

 

Thus, concluding logically, most of Runescape is going to be made up of idiots/jerks/{insert derogatory term for stupid and/or annoying here}.

 

 

 

It also bothers me that women on Runescape get treated.... badly for lack of a better word. Yes, I'm a guy, and I'm one of the (current) minority who believes that chivalry isn't dead, it's just less violent. And since it's less violent, guys have less incentive to accept it, and the rest is... well, not history, because it's happening now.

 

 

 

Also, this should probably be shifted to the "Player Behavior" sticky topic.

It has more to do with the internet's annonymity than it does age and or maturity. On the internet you can say whatever you want, do whatever you want with no direct real life consequences... people are bound to be d-bags here and there. i'm 20 years old... so i don't fit in the teenager category and most of the time i play i either stick to myself or i'm relatively helpful... but everyone has bad days and there are plenty of times i've been a d-bag to someone.

 

 

 

Also, there really aren't very many women who play the game compared to guys. I find girl's that use runescape as an opportunity to get e-attention more annoying than anything else in this game. I mean really... can't we just leave the e-attention whoring to myspace?

RS, WoW, Halo, just about any online game people are going to scream insults across the internet because it makes them feel better about themselves.

 

Plus it seems to provide laughs for whoever's doing it, even at the expense of others.
