How could i switch items from one of my characters to the other?

Its not a dumb rule, its a good rule. Why should another of your charecters suddenly and instantly get a huge advantage by getting some free stuf that he didnt righfully earn. Thats the reason for the rule. It would give advantages to charecters that didn't earn them.

As everyone above me has mentioned, transferring wealth between your characters is forbidden by Jagex's rules, and thus breaks our own rules as well.
