June 13, 200917 yr Hello everyone, and welcome to my first guide! Table of Contents: 1. Youre reading it. 2. What are Aviansies/Aviantese? 3. Requirements 4. What to Wear (Equipped) 5. What to Bring (Inventory) 6. Where to Go 7. Drops 8. Reserved
June 13, 200917 yr Author Question: What are the creatures known as Aviansies, or Aviantese? The Aviantese are a scarce race favoured by Armadyl above all. Armadyl thought they were wiped out during the God Wars and left Runescape. Some were left frozen in the God Wars Dungeon, and they were thawed and resumed battle with the other gods and their armies. By the way, you may have fallen asleep reading this, but history can sometimes be useful
June 13, 200917 yr Author Question: What requirements to you need to access Aviansies? Skills: 60 Agility or 60 Strength, Agility more preferred, a high Ranged level (70+) is suggested, 55 magic to high-alch rune daggers (p++) and rune limbs, a high Defence level (70+) is REQUIRED for tanking, and about 75 Hitpoints should do it. Quests: You must have completed Troll Stronghold up to the part where you DEFEAT Dad, as in already killed him. Eadgars Ruse is HIGHLY suggested for Trollheim Teleport.
June 13, 200917 yr Author Question: What do you wear to kill Aviansies? Well, personally, I have 77 Ranged and 76 Defence and this setup works perfectly for me. Of course, you could use a different setup, and this list can tell you what to bring. Helmet: Archer Helmet>Helm of Neitiznot>Coif****** Amulet: Armadyl Pendant*>Amulet of Fury*****>Amulet of Glory***** Body Armour: Saradomin**/Zamorak Dhide***>Armadyl Chestplate*>Black Dhide Body Leg Armour: Saradomin**/Zamorak Chaps***>Black Dhide Chaps***** Boots: Snakeskin Boots>Bandos Boots****>Dragon Boots****** Cape: Avas Accumulator>Skillcape (t)>Skillcape>God Cape (** or ***) Weapon: Rune Crossbow******* Gloves: Barrows Gloves>Other RFD gloves> Saradomin**/Zamorak Vambraces*** Ammo Slot: 3000 or higher Broad-Tipped Bolts>3000 or higher Emerald Bolts (e) Shield: Granite Shield> Holy**/Unholy Book*** Ring: Archer Ring>Ring of Life>Ring of Wealth****** *Protection of Armadyls followers, a must have! **Protection from Saradomins followers, a must have! ***Protection from Zamoraks followers, a must have! ****Protecton from Bandos Followers, not required. *****Only use if you use the prayer method, which is not listed in this guide. ******Not Recommended, I will explain later on. *******Absolutely required! Reasons why some things are not recommended: Coif: It has extremely low statistics, and can hardly be useful. However, if you are desperate Ring of Wealth: NEVER wear this. It increases the chance of a RARE drop. The 4 Adamant bar drop is a common drop, and thus, it will lower the rate of adamant bar drops. It will, however, increase chances of things such as half keys. NEVER wear this.
June 13, 200917 yr Author Question: What would you have in your inventory? Well, seeing as this guide is about tanking This is my inventory. Feel free to tweak it. Do you see the sword? It's called the Enhanced Excalibur; a reward from completing the Seer's Village Diary's Hard Tasks. It's special attack is called Sanctuary; it boosts your defence by +15%, and heals you 4 hp every 2 seconds for a total of 5 times. That's a total of 20 Hitpoints in 10 seconds, and defence boost! If you do not have it, replace it with a Zanik's Crossbow and 50 Adamant Bolts. If you have not completed Eadgar's Ruse and unlocked the Trollheim Teleport, replace the 2 Fire runes and 2 Law runes with a Games Necklace. The House Teleport is optional, however, seeing as if you die in your house, you don't lose anything, it's suggested as an emergency teleport. Because I unlocked the Bones to Peaches spell, I don't use the tablets. All you need is about 10 more Nature Runes (Aviansies drop 9 at a time sometimes), and a Mud Battlestaff or Mystic Mud Staff. If you have not unlocked the spell, replace the staff with Bones to Peaches Tablets. Please note that if this is your first time entering the God Wars Dungeon, you MUST talk to the dying knight near the entrance and receive a scroll from him. You may destroy it immediately. Also, if this is your first time, you will need to use a rope on the hole in the ground, and climb down. Also note that you do not need a Mithril Grapple. IF YOU DID BRING ONE, BE AWARE THAT YOU NEED 70 RANGE TO HAVE A USE FOR IT!
June 13, 200917 yr Author Question: Where do I go? Heres 2 detailed maps. Red means you run with Protect from Missiles on. Dark Blue means the crevice in which you squeeze through (60 Agility) Blue means you run with Protect from Melee on. Cyan means you climb over rocks (With Climbing Boots on.) Orange means you teleport, then go down all those rocks to the Thrower Trolls. Dark Green means you come from the Rellekka lyre teleport destination, and walk. Yellow means you're going through a tunnel. Jade Green means you're walking from the Games Necklace's Games Room teleport to the God Wars Dungeon. Jade Green is the path you take if you did NOT bring a Mithril Grapple. Dark Blue means that you follow this path if you DID bring a Mithril Grapple. Red indicates that you use the Mithril Grapple here.
June 13, 200917 yr Author Question: Whats so good about killing aviansies? The Aviantese are very popular to kill, as they are extremely fast cash. This is a list of its drops: Always drops: Bones+1-10 Feathers (keep bones for Bones to Peaches, optionally keep feathers.) Weapons: Rune Dagger (p++) (keep and alch), Dragon Spear (keep), 5 Rune Javelins (use or leave.) Runes: 11 Blood*, 9 Nature*, 15/30 Water*, 8-12 Earth, 15 Air, 3/6/16 Chaos*, 2 Law*, 5 Mind, 12 Body (keep ones with asterisks. Others are up to you.) Others: Runite Limbs (keep and alch), 4 Adamantite Bars (KEEP!), 3-dose Antipoison-5 (leave), Uncut Gem (keep Ruby and Diamond), Left Half Shield (keep), Half Key (keep), Swordfish-5 (keep), Nature Talisman (leave), Grimy Herb (only keep Ranarrs), Silver Ore (leave), Clue Scroll-Level 3 (KEEP!) Now do you see why? No? Well then, Ill tell you why. It drops the Adamantite Bars extremely often, about 1 out of every 4 aviansies drop it, so your Armadyl KillCount should be about the same as the amount of bars you have. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A FIXED RATE, YOU COULD 1 DROP IN 20 KILLS, OR 8 DROPS IN A ROW! It also drops the rune daggers and limbs extremely frequently, which is the purpose of the alch runes. [[iMAGE COMING SOON]] Well, I hope you all enjoyed my guide, thanks, and keep those bows firing!
June 13, 200917 yr Good guide, even if theres enough of them... But.... You know you could have just put everything in 1 post? Theres no limit I think, and if theres one you could still easily put that in one post because I saw stuff way longer then this.
June 13, 200917 yr [hide=][/hide] Of course, you could use a different setup, and this list can tell you what to bring. June 14, 200917 yr There is an extremely long post limit, you don't need 5 posts to make your guide. I think I'm the only one with a guide long enough to fit 2 pages... [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
June 14, 200917 yr Like everyone said, you don't need all those posts. You could fit your guide ~10 times in a single post, and it just makes it inconvenient to browse the way it is now. For the equip section, it's worth mentioning void for those who have it. Also, your asterisks are extremely disorientating, you have to slowly count up each set of stars and trace it down to the bottom to find your comments on that item. Try using a different symbol instead of multiple symbols. Ring of Wealth: NEVER wear this. It increases the chance of a RARE drop. The 4 Adamant bar drop is a common drop, and thus, it will lower the rate of adamant bar drops. It will, however, increase chances of things such as half keys. NEVER wear this. I'm pretty sure this got disproved, addy bars aren't considered a rare drop. RoW only improves the rarity of your rare items. I couldn't see anything on summoning either? At least mention them, bunyips make life so much easier there. Even though you might have bones to peaches, it takes AGES to cast the spell, eat each peach, pick up a new bone. A bunyip cuts this down, alot. If you feel like overkilling it, a unicorn will let you throw bones to peaches away entirely. June 21, 200917 yr the ring of wealth does not increase your chance of getting a rare drop. it increases the chance that the rare drops you get will be better rares. it's like this: there are 2 wheels, one wheel that determines your average drops, and one that determines rares. when you get a kill, you spin the first (average) wheel. on the average wheel, there is a slot for rares. if you hit the rare slot, you get to spin the rare wheel. the rare wheel is the only wheel that the ring of wealth affects. if you get the rare wheel, the ring of wealth increases your chances of getting a better rare. I repeat: the ring of wealth does not affect the common (average) drops. it just increases the chances that your rare drops will be the more valuable rares.
June 22, 200917 yr good guide, just not very convenient to have to scroll down to 5 different pages haha. the ring of wealth does not increase your chance of getting a rare drop. it increases the chance that the rare drops you get will be better rares. it's like this: there are 2 wheels, one wheel that determines your average drops, and one that determines rares. when you get a kill, you spin the first (average) wheel. on the average wheel, there is a slot for rares. if you hit the rare slot, you get to spin the rare wheel. the rare wheel is the only wheel that the ring of wealth affects. if you get the rare wheel, the ring of wealth increases your chances of getting a better rare. Be sure to have one from each god! ~Protecton from Bandos Followers, nice, not required. %Only use if you use the prayer method, which is not listed in this guide. ------- please replace the part in your guide with this. Reasons for changes: The * system was quite annoying, counting out 5 or 6 or 7 stars to see what you have to say about it isn't worth it. there is no need for saying rune crossbow is necessary. anyone with close to the recommended range stats will be using it. Unholy book gives you a range attack bonus, therefore is better than the holy book by a little bit. Disrecommending the ring of wealth is fine, but you can just do a see notes remark about it. Added Robin hood hat because its better than coif. Added Dragfire shield because although its expensive, its worth the defense bonus. Especially if you are tanking. granite legs are nice, and if you are using your god immunity in your shield, then you can have strong defense legs. although its much more preferable to do granite shield and god legs. there is no need to make comments on the coif, just put it at the end of your list and people will know there are MUCH better options. i think this is everything, any other changes, ask.[/hide] You need to talk about the mithril grapple, its very unclear. nice maps. for the drops, you should mark of what is noted and what is unnoted. definately consider making this one post. you mention a prayer method a few times, but never go into detail. as it is: 6/10 making the changes + others (potential): 9/10 I think I'll do Baby Blacks :P
