Dragon: Dagger, Mace & Longsword

What would you suggest using via Slayer? I'm not currently doing Slayer at the moment but when I get back into it, I would like to know. I have always used a DDS, my personal thought is the D. Mace and D. Longsword are more effective in PvP situations.

I'm taking it your talking about a special weapon?

If so stick with dds or d hally on bigger monsters. Now if your not talking about a special weapon and dds is your main weapon you should use a whip ::'

Main weapon a whip, or if you have/can afford it ags (2 specials on there, hit very nice ;) ).

D long's a waste of specials, d baxe is like a free str pot, d mace is useful as it can hit high and uses only a little special energy (like 4 attacks each bar?).

Drag dagger is always good, I would recommend that over d baxe and mace, because personally I prefer it. The choice, however, is yours. ;)

DDS is easily the most powerful special, but gets boring. D long and mace spec are very fun but not so great (although d mace works great at monsters such as KQ).

Do NOT use D B Axe, EVER. If you're considering it, ask yourself "is an entire special bar worth 1k cash or less to me?" (aprox cost of one super strength dose). If that answer is no, don't get it. I would happily LIVE off of special attacks if I could refill my spec bar for ~1k cash.

How about the enchanted/enhanced excalibur?

It heals you for like 20 hp or so, and acts as a super def pot. I take it with me on tasks where my bunyip does not keep up entirely, or on tasks where the bunyip over heals you.

I think it is very usefull.

Never say never.

Works great at Turoths and to a degree Kurasks. Since you can't hit them with any other weapon that has a spec only EE would help and turoths hit so rarely its a waste of 1k.

Low level hp monsters (cave crawlers and harpies for example) are also a waste of a spec as you can 1 hit them 95% of the time anyway, so why waste the 1k? Ok if you have a SGS its worth it, but no other spec is.

I personally use the D B axe spec a lot 20k saved per hour sounds like nothing, but after a 5 hour slaying session thats 100k. After a week its 700k, after a month its ~2.5m.

Sure on some tasks its better to use a DDS or D mace, I'm just saying don't write D B axe off.

And yes I'm cheap.

-dds on most of monsters, high hits, chance on poisoning(since u dont use it to fight normally u will only poison at specs)

-d mace for monsters like waterfiends, unless u got an EE or sgs (the healing is worth more than the high hits)

-i personally most often use my EE: thanks to my EE and my bunyip i can do losts of tasks without even eating 1piece of food wich is wonderfull for camping

-the dmace spec isnt realy worth it unless u want to same some money, but i find it enoying since you have to take an restore and att pot with u all the time

-d long is a waste, is and will stay
