Strenght - Sara Sword Vs. D scim

Featured Replies

Ok title pretty much say it all.

I find the Dscim to be more accurate while it hits a little less i think it kills faster.

Can any one tell me there exp ratios with scim / ss?

It feel to me like im getting less exp with my ss useing pots then i am with dscim not using pots. This just seems very wrong to me!

I'm 90 str 70 atk, i train at bandits, use combat pots, use meh armor.

looking for some answers wanna get 99 fast as possible!

Thank for those who help \'

EDIT: plz don't give me a unreasonable answer and say sara sword best just because i said so, plz provide information.

Please read before you post, i will not waste that kind of money on pots.

If you want to get 99 fast use an SS its proven more exp and super pots boost higher = more exp. And don't go buy what you think or feel go buy exp rates that you calculate.

Well i calculated in 30 minutes i got 24k exp so double that = 48k exp / h

Now with my dscim i averaged that if not more with no pots, used less food also.

Thats why i posted on here.

I don't claim to know anything... but they have the same speed, and so based on specs

I don't know how it works out, but I would think that people pay more for the sara sword for a reason. It has a higher str bonus by 11 and only 4 less attack. I suppose it has less of a defense bonus, but it depends whether that is a factor.

Strength - Sara Sword Vs. D Scimitar

Saradomin Sword at Armour Zombies is one of the best Strength experience.

Stick with that for a FASTER way of reaching 99 Strength.

If you don't mind the little extra time yet 6M more cash then use a Dragon Scimitar. Its only a little worse.

Its also merely a matter of personal opinion. I hate the Sara sword because it is grossly overpriced for something that does the same or just a little better of a Dragon Scimitar but costs 6M+ More.

I am not doing zombies simply for the fact that i dont have the requirements to get in. so im sticking to bandits as stated above...

What do you think of the evidence I presented. It doesn't matter to me one way or the other, but I would like to know whether you think that explanation is adequate. :)

As death showed, SS is clearly better. not only is accuracy not needed at places like bandits/armoured zombies but strength bonus is more valuable than attack bonus.

The reason I posted was to say that if you aren't training with super sets (or AT LEAST pure sets) you are utterly wasting your time. Super sets are NOT expensive, and if you train somewhere like armoured zombies (although there are alternatives) you will not only make the money back, but profit enough to buy super sets for another 20+ runs. It can't be overstated as to how useful they are. If your choice was between d scim+defender+super sets and sara sword+no pots/combat pots then GO WITH THE SCIMMY. Use those super sets.

You might not want to hear it, but training your stats up to be able to fight armoured zombies would be the smartest thing you could ever upgrade from. Before you start upgrading to super sets/sara sword get the requirements done. That is if you're serious about getting a good strength level (90+), if you're not serious about it then it's not really worth nitpicking about the SS/D-scim argument.

Umm... use the pots. Period.

99 as fast as possible. If you value your time (ginormous guess) 50k/hour (you should be able to make 500+k/hour) then use the pots.

I didn't bring this up at poster's request, but money spent on a ss would be better to go to pots.

Not every one is fancy rich like some people, a super str pot goes for around 5k i believe so 100 would be 500k and then attack would add 90-100k.

Not to mention to train effectively with my stats i would need to note them and sell them, thus causing more money to be spent, i estamte around 1mill to use super pots to 99... something i don't want to do.

EDIT: who thinks 1mill spent on supers would be worth it?

You're looking at the big picture far too much, people don't get to 99 runecrafting by staring at their exp and thinking "only 1.4M pure ess to go". 100 super sets will last you a long time, it's not like you're paying for 100 super strength pots/hr. 100 would last you maybe 80+ hours? That's 7.2M+ exp at armoured zombies (maybe 4.8m exp for bandits).

You really don't have to be anywhere near rich to use 'em.

Ok i get your point, i think 100 would last alot longer then that. I will consider using the Super Str / Atk pots in my training, but i also would like to know how much more exp will i be obtaining from bandits if using supers then i would from combat pots? I guess 1m is not that much and it is replaceable and i can afford it with my SS.

It's not 1m. It's like saying 10b if I buy 10 million pots. It's only a couple thousand a pot. It helps wayyy too much to not use. It's not replaceable with the combat pot.

It is 1mill, i have calculated it out.

100 Super Str pots - Around 500k to buy.

100 super Atk pots - around 100k to buy.

-------------------------------------------------

100 super str pots - Sell 110 each - buy 4.1k each - loose 4k each.

100 super Atk pots - sell 110 each - buy back 950 each - loose 850 each.

overall net loss 600k to buy 480k to sell / buy back from shop = 1080k.

No idea what the above math is about. Explain, please. :?:

ok this above math represent the amount of money pots will cost.

You take how much you pay at the GE for the pots which is about 600k.

Then you bring your pots noted to the bandits, there is a general store there.

This represents how much they sell for in the general store and how much you buy them back for, it saves allot of time and your spot at the bandits.

Understand now? its just like noted food at the bandits.

100 super str pots - Sell 110 each - buy 4.1k each - loose 4k each.

100 super Atk pots - sell 110 each - buy back 950 each - loose 850 each.

Ohh... that makes sense, lol.

[hide=BEWARE]Don't do bandits.[/hide]

If not bandits what else gives good exp other then AZ which i cannot do.

Also now that you fully understand the super pot situation at bandits and how it would cost 1.1m about, do you think i should use them at the bandits?

EDIT: Also about how much more exp/h will i get using super pots?

PL_z.png

pL_z.png

Zombie monkies, but that takes money. Do the quests required for az's.

Yes, completely. Bandits are still bad.

EDIT: Also about how much more exp/h will i get using super pots?

Enough, I don't know the #.
