July 1, 200917 yr Too late. This can be locked.~ My friend had an Xbox 360 system, but it got the RROD. They didn't know that the could send it in to get repaired, so the parents (who had recently divorced) EACH bought the children a new 360 - so they now have three (one which must be sent in). My friend (who does not play videogames at all), has said before that she would give one away to whoever wanted it, but no one has really taken her up on this offer. I don't expect to get a free 360 (I haven't heard the mother say anything on the matter), but I could maybe spend between $50 - $100 on it, and get it very cheap. The problem is, I can't keep it, unless my dad (who doesn't play videogames) wants to. My mom is pretty anti-videogames in our house, and she doesn't think we need 3 systems (Wii, PS2, 360). She is also very paranoid about M games - and most titles on the 360 are M rated. So I would be selling the 360 to Gamestop ($80 store credit). My mom said this is a pretty d-bag move, and that I should at least tell them that they can do that. What are your thoughts on this matter? I don't want to be an [wagon] to a family that already has enough problems recently, but I don't want to let an opportunity for a good, cheap system or a free $30 or so slip by. PS. I just got my 120th star in Super Mario Galaxy \
July 1, 200917 yr I don't think jeopardizing a friendship over something like 30 or so dollars is worth it. Especially if the family is having "troubles." I think you should tell them, and, if they let you have it, then woo! \ Oh, and grats on Mario Galaxy. \
July 1, 200917 yr Author Buy it and play it at your Dad's. My family is not divorced - there's is. They've been having lots of trouble recently =\
July 1, 200917 yr Just tell your friend to sell it? [iNSERT "I R EATIN TEH SHIX ATM" BILL COSBY SIGNATURE GIF HERE, LOL]
July 1, 200917 yr Take it. But on the assurance that if she ever wants to play it, she's more than welcomed. If her parents bought their daughter without talking with the other, they don't have a money problem. ;) "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
July 1, 200917 yr Just tell your friend to sell it? This Just tell your friend they have the ability to sell it(is it possible to return to store for refund, it would seem possible with a game system). If for some reason they refuse to sell it then offer to take it to gamestop yourself and split the money with them. Orthodoxy is unconciousnessthe only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed.
July 2, 200917 yr Have your friend sell it. If that doesn't happen just take it. 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers!
July 2, 200917 yr This shouldn't be too tough Just apply the golden rule and think of it this way: She was willing to give you something worth $300+ for free because she was nice. The least you can do is tell her that she can sell it.
July 2, 200917 yr Author Well, turns out I was too late. Her older brother took ALL of them. Which is odd, I think he had been arrested :? Oh well.
July 3, 200917 yr If something like this happens again don't return stuff like that to gamestop or any other place like that. Sell it on Craigslist or eBay - you'll likely get twice as much money as you would handing it over to a store for credit. Anyways sorry for bumping up a dead thread (sage :( ) Vienna Raszyn Warsaw Klushino
