Those are pretty sweet, I like the first group of dwarves in particular... I think the ranged groups mold lines show a little much but perhaps that's due to the camera angle. Are these metal or plastic minis? And if you don't mind, where did you buy them? (I have a bunch of these but I've never bothered to paint them.)

Nice, but I noticed that the hair seems a little blotchy - also, if you want the models to look more like 'eavy metal WH, apply some gloss or matte.

Thorvald, Gisli and Egil in the crossbow dwarves (and Harald the axedwarf) were the first minis I painted, and I think it really shows.

 

 

 

@ hawkxs: They are all plastic minis, except for Ragnar. The dwarves are from the Warhammer Dwarf Warriors and Dwarf Thunderers kits, and Ragnar is a Dwarf Slayer. The Guardsmen are all (surprise) from Warhammer 40k. I mixed together bits from the Cadian Command Squad and Cadian Shock Troops sprues.

Quick update.

 

 

 

Finished the first squad of the 1st Bisonian Mechanised, led by Sgt Sagat.

 

Nice.

 

 

 

I could never paint so well when I played 40K.

 

 

 

Did you drybrush the armour on that squad ?

 

 

 

I cant really tell.

The basecoat of gunmetal was painted on directly, but the highlight was drybrushed.

Loving the chainsaw sword thing and the gun that looks like a Sawz-All. The red is a little bright for me, but the paint job is great. Detail on the tunics is really nice.
