tigershelby2
ok...i want to get some decent amount of cash, and i plan to wc/fish/mine my way there. i get bored fairly easily (actually very easily) so how do you guys think i should go about cycling through the boredom? mix it up and min/fish/cut X amount of material, set a level goal before i switch, or just kinda do it randomly? TubbyMcFee
I was gonna suggest use your highest skill but they're all very very close : I would suggest getting 1 or 2k of whatever material and then switching. Maybe watch some youtube videos while you are doing them too? :D I'm the same way, can't stand doing the same thing for more than a couple days  ATTACK OF THE SMILIES

Or you could wait till you get bored, then round up your current amount? The amounts may get a little weird and not sell right away, but they will, eventually. nerdboyxxx
Now this is one question I'll have trouble helping with. I can do the same activity for about 12 hours straight and not get bored. I earned the money I spent on my d hatchet back in less than 2 days of non-stop woodcutting :? Okay I don't suggest you do what I do for hours on end, but I recommend cutting eucs for cash off woodcutting. They are quicker than Yews, sell for about 390gp each, and a bank is close by. You need to have started as a first resort to bank at Oo'glog, or you can bank at MA. That will help relieve boredom for woodcutting. If you are also mining/fishing, just set a level goal of maybe 70 for each? Every time you level up the skill switch to another one. It will definitely help. Listen to music (don't put it on repeat though :P), watch a movie, talk to your favourite thing in your room, and yell at the computer when you lagg. All work like a charm. gorofujita
I usually like to set monetary goals, such as ok once I get 500k worth of items, ill go do something else, and come back and earn another 500k or some other reasonable amount. (I was mining runite, so 500k was only about 2 loads)

I would try mixing it up, as others have said: fish for a bit, and when you get bored, fish for a bit longer, then head to mind, then mine until you get bored, and mine for a bit longer... and so on. Just rotate it around and you should be able to avoid (serious) boredom. "Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security." wab
use a bot? lol jk :P seriously don't make yourself bored, it's a game and you should have fun. if you don't like this way of making money, find other more exciting ways to make it. who knows, maybe you'll find it better to pk or hunt monsters for cash? merchanting can also be a solution. if you insist on resource skills, make sure you're doing it with a friend and talk to him while that. helps alot  hope my tip helped :

perfetc
1 person acting alone will never effect the ge, it's when a clan with 30 odd members with millions effect the ge. PlzPuddngPlz
merchanting? i would need money for that first...plus they ruin the economy as it is, i dont want to help them Don't call them merchanters. They are manipulators. I think he meant to piggyback on the pvp updates and buy things that you think will go up as a result of those updates. Sig by me, in MS paint, but I'm still working on it. essiw
1 person acting alone will never effect the ge nonsense, if everyone thinks that way and goes merching whips then they will rise, but not as fast as you think it would. So it does effect, merchin has always an effect on the price http://sign.tip.it/1/2/79/260/essiw.png Retired item crew I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. So it does effect, merchin has always an effect on the price nonsense back you, this is how runescape used to be, before trade limits and the G.E, it is just easier now. If JAGEX made a rule that merch clans were not allowed but individuals were ok and every body was good boys and girls and followed that rule, prices wouldn't rise a significant amount for people to notice people were merchanting them. People will not have the same mind set to buy all the whips at the same time, say maybe 100 individuals do it they wont make the price sky rocket, they might make it move 1 or 2k but I doubt any more than that. Obviously that will never happen but I feel my point still stands. IM GOING TO LIVE FOREVER .......... or die trying

The only thing is you can see it because it changes the price very slowly (but imagen, 100 people doing the same item everyday, it would be higher then it was supposed to be), however merch clans do it all the same time which makes it to go up quickly. So what i say is that merch clans should not be allowed, and I hope merching would be whiped off some day too, try to earn your money with skills instead of the market... http://sign.tip.it/1/2/79/260/essiw.png Retired item crew I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. (btw, I use skills to earn money cos I don't see the point in doing it any other way. ) I agree merch clans should be stopped but it is going to be hard to totaly stop merching, there is a thread about merch clans but I havn't it so I don't know what his idea's are but the only thing I can think off the top of my head is to fix prices to the 1gp, so whips would always be 1,500,000gp no matter what. Could even be put in 1-1 trading, I put a whip up and you have to put up 1,500,000 coins and/or in items. That is totaly unrealistic though.
