Do you think one day we will have a dragon dragon

It would be a Dragonite Dragon techincally and it is quite possible

though the dragonkin probably don't call dragonite, well dragonite. So it'd be a random name if any

You miss the point.

1) The metal is dragonite to us, dragon is the slang.

so it'd be dragonite not dragon

2) Very little is know about the dragonite metal other than the dragonkin forged it, whihc is why it got the name dragonite. Dragon from dragonkin, ite from other metals.

But odds are if there IS a dragonite dragon it'd be pretty close to the dragonkin still. Meaning odds are we might of learnt the true nature of dragonite by then and thus what the dragokin call it, instead of dragonite as we call it. Which would in turn mean we would know the dragon wouldn't be a dragonite dragon but w/e they call dragonite.

I get the dragonite thing but it would be odd if all the others had the metal we call it then it went it in a totaly different direction.

I guess you pay attention to the storylines, personally I skip every talking bit with every person in every quest

Yeah but all the other metals are names tht are 100% fact.

In terms of rs lore dragonite as a name for a metal is jsut a by product of a vague idea of where it came from.

If it DOES have another name as a metal and there is a dragon made of it protecting the dragonkin or w/e. I'd assume it'd use the other name simply to avoid having a dragon dragon or a dragonite dragon in favour of something less weird to read.

Hehe, I don't think we'll ever see 'Dragon Dragons'. JaGex would need to first be COMPLETELY out of other ideas.

that armor looks vaguely like the stuff the samurais wore :ohnoes: eastern lands, anyone?

*sigh* We've already covered this.

I'm just as good as hippo on my rs history ;)

As far as I am aware there is no evidence to say the dragonkin are made of metal, whihc means dragonite dragon cannot be the same as dragonkin.

Especially as dragonkin created dragon to protect themselves, so for the dragokin to be dragonite dragons implied they created themselves, which is paradoxical as to create the dragon they must exist, but if they are a dragon they cannot exist before they were created. And as the implication is they created themselves the cannot exist as they cannot of been there before they were created and therefore could not be there to creat themselves

Dragonite? Seriously? Looks like that was ripped directly from Pokémon.

"Dragonite" metal doesn't exist. And if it did, I doubt it would be named that (the only ores with the -ite suffix are Adamantite and Runite, why this 'asssures' that Dragon metal would use it is beyond me). What we've seen so far, looking at the Dragon platebody, is that dragon armour or weapons are constructed from various lumps that do not represent bars.

And a Dragon dragon? Kinda odd don't you think? An overtly obvious pleonasm for a name.

Why not, you know, other adjectives? Why not ancestral, ancient, legendary, etc.

Cha. Otherwise, the King Black Dragon would be the dragon dragon dragon (3 dragons for the price of one). Which would make the Dragon Dragon only 2/3rds the dragon that the dragon dragon dragon is.

Well Adamant is still a slang of Adamantite the same as addy. So yeah technically it should be an Adamantite Dragon.

Thou arguable jagex has openly used the Adamant slang themselves so it could easily be Adamant Dragon.

The history and lore on dragon metal is pretty obscure books within the game mostly.

And it does somewhat conflict cause some says it came from Frenkskae (sp?) with the mahjaratt

Some suggest the mahjaratt made it

Other clearly implies the dragonkin created it.

Equally the name pops up as a few different things, but all share being a red metal

But the most official name out there is Dragonite, doesn't mean its the most widely used though.

I mean I'd wager a good bet that probably 50% of rs players wouldn't have a clue what Runite or Adamantite is despite they being the full techinical names for very common pieces of equipment

Dragonite?

If you read thru all the lores dragonite is referenced in many places.

Incorrect, I've read en reread every thing about RS history, never had any mentions about it being called dragonite.

Dragonite is to dragon as rune is to runite or addy is admantite or mith is to mithril

Come to think of it, I've also never heard of Dragonite before.

Except ... well ... you know.

Or the mahjarrat and dragonkin both originate from Freneskae.
