Cacmypants
......... UPDATE: another new sig now, I used the same base background though, I figured simpler is better
Ouchy
Faaaar to pixelated, and the background looks extremely meh. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
Cacmypants
lol, Ok for a first proper attempt right? Was a little hard finding sprites for those particular characters, had to enlarge 300% :P I like the pixelation though, looks oldschool - considering the game was released in 1994. I guess we have different tastes
Ouchy
Pixels need to stay at the size you get them, or they will look like crap to be honest. Cacmypants
Nm, you're right, you can get the same effect without jagged edges I'll update in a second.
Sam
I fail to see what you have actually done, sorry. :| 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
lit0ua
I actually like the old-school feeling it has. In this case I'd add text, mainly to fill in the blank space on the left. Thumbs up for Breath of Fire as well. [Click here to help stop World-Hunger.] ?
Cacmypants
Good Idea, I'll add some text
Nadril
Well now you made it worse than it was before by blurring the edges. You need to find a way to make it work with old school sprites, and what you have isn't it.
Cacmypants
I'm just gunna leave it now anyway, don't have time to mess with it anymore. Are you saying I should have just left it like this?
Nadril
Neither version is any good so I really can't choose. Blurring the sprites was the wrong way forward though.
Cacmypants
I'm actually getting varied opinions from others elsewhere, so whatevs got a question though, is GIMP better than Paint Shop Pro 9 (what I'm using). Btw I actually started making this with the intent of making it my MSN Banner =P
Nadril
Eh, whatever. GIMP is better. Hell I used PSP8 (they only have gone up to 9 now?) 8 years ago and even then Photoshop 5 was better than it.
Wongtong
What's up with the background? :| 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers!
Cacmypants
Basically a bunch of overlays on a gradient =P GIMP is better. Hell I used PSP8 (they only have gone up to 9 now?) 8 years ago and even then Photoshop 5 was better than it. Idk if there is a 10 or an 11, 9 is just what I'm used to using. Shiny
I think it was bought out by corel. Could be Corel Paint Shop Pro X2. Yeah, go get gimp, then come back. Look at some tutorials to get you used to the UI.

Nadril
Or better yet go torrent Photoshop.  Wow... way for both of you to promote Piracy... Who cares. (Really though, you almost have to torrent photoshop if you want to get into it. I first got Photoshop when I was... 14 or so, almost 7 years ago. [i used Paint shop pro for the year before that] There would be no way I could afford photoshop at 14. Adobe doesn't really care about piracy that much because the majority of their sales are focused on professionals, who need to buy the software in order for a license for their company.)
