Well imagine the Russians back in WW2. They had massive armies bearing down on the Germans. Even though the Germans were much stronger individually, the mass triumphed. Now imagine that kind of army in the billions. :thumbsup:

In all honesty though, if we're fighting a ground battle, I've basically won. Radioactive landscape (If you can call it a landscape), Arc laser patrols, and a distinct lack of atmosphere means that most troops can't even survive down there, let alone fight.

It's simple. The Britannic Federation would anger the Lichtes by mindlessly slaughtering them; they are a living thing, thus they have a soul. These machines from Aether, however, have no soul, and they were designed explicitly for target practise. No one is offended.

 

Plus, machines are faster and are more worthwhile to train on, since they offer a greater challenge.

The Lichten people are incredibly receptive of mindless killing of prisoners. That's why there's a daily execution piece in most towns. The Lichten empire probaly has one of the lowest incarcaration rates in the local area, except during years where the empire doesn't execute anyone, saving them for something like this. :)
