Here one of my ships got nerfed because it would take 11,000 years game time to gather all the material to build it, and everyone else is practically ignoring the issue of obtaining resources. :rolleyes:

Sere I am not as I have 4-5 planets which are essentially constantly mining and around 2k mining ships that are mining asteroids. Suffice to say I have a large influx of resources and the infrastructure of massive space depots to allow me to store it.

And I get my main building material (Iridium monopole) plentifully from the Oceanic crust of the Erikios.

I have returned.

Can someone give me a recap? Also, been doing anything with my military Dusty?

Just put them through my Multi-Environment training. All your lands were essentially on automation for the duration.

Construction of my capital is complete. It now houses close to 100 million civilians, soldiers, and government officials. It is also the equivalent of a kent battle-station in combat, only with better armor probably. It's exact location is unknown, but it is within the local area. Also, it puts out 5,000 PP a year, and all of that is going to Heavy battleships for now. The way it works is similar to the citadel from Mass Effect, if under attack a protective shell will cover the entire city, only that shell will be bristling with weapons. The shell is essentially impenetrable by most weapons, due to its extremely high melting point and thickness. Once project Revent is done the armor will be improved.

5000 PP is quite far past the line of ridiculous, Doom.

Well Dusty never attacks his allies.

Well then, you don't know Dusty that well, do you? ;)

He's Machiavellian. He does what he has to do, even if it means backstabbing allies.

Partly true. I try my best to refrain from attacking allies, though I have no qualms with it if I deem it neccesary.

Besides, Retech isn't actually an ally of mine (sorry mate), we've just had common goals that could be achieved quicker if we worked together. I tend to pick my allies carefully so I don't have to end up attacking them. That being said, my fleet isn't heading to attack Retech. Maybe they're just out for a stroll.

edit: I actually just went and did an internet test (hardly accurate, but whatever) to see how Machiavellian I am. I scored 88/100, higher meaning more towards subscribing to Machiavellian philosipy, and lower being more towards what I assume is tree-hugging idealistic dolts (they just said less Machivaellin but I think that's a cop out).

Tbh I think the bloke got such a bad rep because you just need replace one letter with another and you get Mach 'the' Villan. Ye Olde Italians never did think ahead when naming their children.

On a side note I have a new type of exo-suit. It is called the Hector class suit and will be replacing the others as my primary infantry weapon. The specs are however rather secret though so.... The more you know!

Surge in funding? You didn't say you were researching this at all.

Can't sell any of mine, I'm stockpiling it for one of my projects.

Also, construction begins on TFS Heimdall which when done will take the position of Alpha Fleet's flagship, and Ragnarok will be retired to Beta fleet's flagship.

Hmm... I might adopt the fleet ranking system that you have, considering that the one I have at the moment is kind of weird. :unsure:

Aha! Thanks.

Heimdall makes sense, he is the Norse God that will start Ragnarok. The herald of the last battle. :P

---

Zz let's all measuring our production capacity [bleep]s to one another.

PP I assumed was used both to build STUFF and to build SHIPS. So, if you're building some giant super mega collusus structure you can't also be churning out the same number of ships you did beforehand.

Anyways. Ship production in TFed has halted, working on building a bazillion trillion momillion centipelliar google triple deluxe awesome space stations.

There. Now, can everyone please realize that nobody really cares or pays attention to your PP and ship numbers and whatnot as long as the exist within the realm of realism. So, having a page of "I can produce more than you" "No" "I have super metal" "I mine asteroids!" is pointless.

Project SW still putting pylons around TFed space, branching out towards Earth (they're heavily encrypted to prevent electronic tampering and whatnot, and self-destruct if anyone tries to "capture" one). I'll reveal them in a not-so-secret manner if the opportunity arises. They're mostly defensive, with some limited offensive uses (there isn't even a potato shooter on them). The research is on-going for these things, a la Ross' ARC laz0rs.

Project SS/Kreigsmarine/Gestapo continuing.

Project NRes starts.

Guns, Germs, Steel, Language, and Learning.

Generally in that order of progression.

Don't forget isolation. When you conquer a land, you want to split the people up in order to prevent nationalistic rallying. Plus, it helps speed up the process of indoctrination when the Conquered are intermingled with the Conquerors as they automatically become assimilated.

Yea, the assimilation was the language part. Hard to find a word that sounds catchy there.

Guns->Invasion

Germs->Invasion/Imparting of diseases and whatnot (a la Europeans going to the New World and smallpox)

Steel->Building

Language->Assiminlation

Learning->Indoctrination

Most conquests in history have followed that path roughly.

I put half of my PP into it from the past month or so, so that's around 600,000 PP. If that was converted into pure production stations that would make 150 stations -> 30,000 a turn for PP. So I'd say 5000 pp a turn is reasonable taking into account the PP spent, and then how much defenses would cost.

Heimdall makes sense, he is the Norse God that will start Ragnarok. The herald of the last battle. :P

That would be Loki starting it and Thor being the herald.

Heimdall was the link between the gods and the men, he was also the one to be the last surviving god, slaying and being sloughtered by Loki, thus ending Ragnarok.

A herald is the one to lead one side into war.

PP I assumed was used both to build STUFF and to build SHIPS. So, if you're building some giant super mega collusus structure you can't also be churning out the same number of ships you did beforehand.

The large stations are made by the construction company.

But what is this about the end?

Yeah, I'm only five days away from the ultimate power source, Ross has made the ultimate supercomputer and I'm sure someone else has something epic soon. This is the time for tech trades and full-scale interstellar aliances.

[hide=Today's Progress]

[hide=Capiahs]

System: Capiah

Population: 100,000,000,000

Moons: None

About it: Capiah is the most established colony besides that of Japan on Earth. With a quickly expanding population and abundant species of kelp, the settlers are thriving. The relatively large amount of land is still mostly unused, aside from defences, but future uses could be found.

[/hide]

[hide=Erikio]

System: Recea Decimus

Population: 100,000,000,000

Moons: None

Erikio is the seat of the Lichtes government and homeworld to most of its people. Skyscrapers exist that are taller than almost any structure on Earth, mainly because the buoyancy that the water provides. It is covered by 99% water, with the land harnessed to grow luxury food crops, meat, and defensive installations.

[/hide]

[hide=Meoxo]

System: Meoxo

Population: 100,000,000,000

Moons: None

--

New Erikio has quickly been upgraded into a full scale military base. Massive underground tunnels snake through the continental shelf and deeper into the sea crust. The majority of Lichtes citizens live here, sheltered from infectious viruses and invading aliens by the limitless fortifications and defences. This is a major Iridium monopole mining base. Deep within the tunnels, the worst of society (over 200 million) trudge down into the mines to get as much Iridium ion as they can. The ones that give above average get a comfortable bed for the night, while those below average can either go back to their homes or go down to get more Iridium to get a bed.

Effects: Uses Kinetic energy and supersonic combustion to launch a projectile as far as other weapons without the complexity.

Name: EM shield blocker technology

Completion Date: January 1st

Effects: Blocks "teleportation"

[hide=Constructions]

Name: Sector E battlestation

Completion Date: December 7th

Effects: Helps defend Japan from space attacks

Name: Earth to Space Artillery Batteries

Completion Date: December 7th

Effects: Massive Artillery and Flak installations are built on land and flotation devices on sea. The ones on land often have a tunnel that goes down into the main tunnels, but these are sealed except during peacetime. Though the projectiles cannot aim straight (due to the winds), the massive amounts of artillery flying through the air and the expanse of their fleet makes it easy to hit. If the enemy begins to land, then it will be far easier to hit them.

First update in 18 days. Huzzah! Also, my society doesn't have THAT many people. We've just been saving up a mass army of soldiers...in egg form, for when we do need to use it. Besides, everyone keeps forgetting that water can support like 100x more life than land.

Also noting that only the males are stupid, and they work down in the mines and stuff. Females (of which I still have a considerable amount) form the skilled workforce. You could say that they could match your scientists...in a different way of course.

They would be incredibly vulnerable during land fighting. But they do fine in amphibious fighting. I've never had to use them in land fighting before though. I guess they do fine with tanks (the females), though then I'd just have an army of tanks. Besides, when would I plan to fight on land? I have an army for defence of my lands, which are pretty much all aquatic.

Have you ever been to Japan before? Most of it is either right next to the ocean, or on a mountain. Right next to the ocean, Lichtens have the advantage because they're sweeping in from the seas while they're fine in the mountains because they can just entrench themselves. I think that they're weakest in large land masses such as China, since after all, Japan is series of islands.

Except apparantly Dungeonal didn't PM Archi her defence numbers, so maybe there was just a rolled resistance. Anyways, my surprise attack and amphibious modifiers were probaly the reason I won. Since basically, my troops could land anywhere, even in places where ships couldn't actually go in because the water was too shallow.
