I haven't been mining Jahrium. Besides, I don't have a large space ship fleet(basically I was building stations the entire time). Also Rocco, if you had to estimate the PP per turn you have, what would you say that you have?

I think that's fine. It's just it's hard to compare the powers of separate fleets, since each person has different powered ships that cost different amounts. Oh Rocco, on dungeoneering, I've forgiven you for killing me. Turns out I did have money after all, I just didn't know I did! :P

Mather, I think we could say maybe a million or so civilians escaped your planet, so if you can find a new planet. You lose all research other than things that are finished, and contained in your ship though (so you can only pick a few.) On the condition that you don't have Naquadah anymore.

Another set of orbital rings are being constructed around major planets. These will orbit in the way opposite of the previous rings. The new rings are larger so that they don't overlap.

Also, Arch...my super heavies and whatnot + flagship got destroyed?

Yeah, flagships and big ships are destroyed fairly quick because of the way weapon/armour works.

Archi I do get to keep my stuff (except ships) and relocate right?

Being the attack was to prevent you developing a game shattering(their words) tech I am going to say you can start again, either on a planet of your chooseing or in a newly generated system, basic tech, population of 100,000(Or however many it was), ect, ect.

Hmm...Approximately how long would it take to reach the galactic core from where we are now?[/qutote]

I refer you to:

30,000 light years.

600 days.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

This seems like it's a problem , is there anyway that could be remedied? I assume it's because relatively the armor thickness of ships isn't that much different for massive ships than smaller ships, so it would take one shot from a powerful laser to kill a big ship, but 10 shots to kill 10 little ships. That about right?

Well basically, with the level of sophistication in weapon targeting, you only need to make a narrow crack in the armour and then pump lasers and missiles though it.

So if you have a battleship with 5 meters worth of armour and a fighter with 5 meters worth of armour they are as weak as each other.

Atlantis had 2 kilo-meters of armour...so was slightly more protected, but even that was destroy fairly quickly.

Thus you would need to develop really really really strong armours, or really really really thick armours, or just use small ships with small weapons in massive amounts.

Big ships are only really useful in attacking planets, where you want to blow up a city or defence installation.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

That makes sense. So, as of now I'm heavily investing in researching improved armor, using advanced aerogels, layer nanotube armor, and so on.

Just make sure you keep me upto date with your increases.

I think you are currently at 3.

What would, for example, the former Atlantis be?

Well generally I just assume that the whole race uses an armour modify based on their strongest material.

Rocco has 5

Sere has 9

Doom has 3

Dusty has 1

Mather had 1

...Basically everyone who I haven't talked to(or they have made mention of how thick their armour is) has a 1.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Ah ok. I started another project relating to armor a bit back, so that'll help me too. I'll update you after maybe a few weeks or whatever's reasonable.

How's range taken into account with ships? Because I'd like that to be one of my strong points.

Well I guess, if you were going to give me weapon stats(ie the range, firepower and number of each weapon on a ship), then I could do it in progressive rounds.

But as it is everything just fights everything else.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Well, the main thing is that my Railships fire from a large distance away. Maybe they could have a "note" or whatever that would act as a range modifier somehow, maybe it takes a few turns before the ship can be attacked y an enemy ship that's targeting it.. Something like that.

String Theory...

Our universe collides with another universe in 11th dimension and both go Big Bang.

If you were able to manipulate the subatomic strings, you could manipulate the fabric of space itself.

Hmm.

Graviton Communication research has commenced. There's no real use for it, but it could enable communication with parallel universes, assuming a world on the other side has the means to receive the graviton messages and decipher them.

Oh and technically travel between universes is impossible, but since it has already happened once in the game (Urk-Orz), then String Theory in the Hegemony universe would somehow allow it. You could just assume that somehow we could build a device in order to manipulate gravitons for travel outside our universe's membrane and make it to a parallel universe without causing a big bang.

String theory is a load of old tosh. The world is what it is, messing around with the sub-sub-atomic is silly.

It's a mind [bleep], so therefore it appeals to our natural desire for mystery. It's the only thing that really keeps me awake in physics class.

Pff.

I guarantee mine would be the top of that list, considering my ships are designed to close in and pummel other ships at close range/send off boarding parties.

So, I would be 11.

Mine ships are:

Armour: Top

Weapons: Middle

Speed: Low

They're giant spacetanks essentially.
