Wisp
Well, ross, look how the game ended up. Brazil became one of the most powerful countries, malaysia controls a lot of earth now, the US doesn't really exist, Germany controls everything not in the Americas, or malaysian and so on. Sure, the US might have an advantage for a while, but it'll all work out. Hegemony-Spain

Retech
I had an idea for an very epic game that fuses the best elements of Spore and Hegemony. Basically you start off as the leader of a swarm of microbes (of which there are a series of traits you can choose, which lead to advantages and disadvantages later in the game). Now it would be like dungeoneering in the sense that your leader and your pack can go traveling and trying to discover things (leading to bonuses or penalties later on). Once a day you could say what changes have occured to your race (obviously, if you make a very strong thing, I can find a big disadvantage to it). This way people who can't play during the session can still move along with everyone else and not be at a large disadvantage. After a while, people will be given the options to increase their species size into more complicated organisms, which will cost points. On and on, eventually you end up at a crossroad. Do you stay aquatic, go onto land, or be some of both? Are you adaptive or a niche species? After that, once you get onto land, you become the leader of a pack of your species that goes exploring the land (once again, in dungeoneering style for the session, then Hegemony style once a day to show progression). Then onwards you become a tribe, and then a city-state or confederacy. Finally, you meet up with the other races and we move into Hegemony-style land combat based on the attributes you've gained over the entire game. I'll post a thread and see how everyone likes it. Nero
Too nuanced. It needs to be simple to start, not take up hours of every day to play, and be relatively easy to follow. Also, Federation Alpha Fleet has been recalled to the Sol system. Vienna Raszyn Warsaw Klushino
Retech
It is easy to start. It just looks annoying and complicated from the description. So the thread is up, and I'll keep track of all the traits for you, but it would be best if you just had a copy and paste sheet that you could repaste everyday. I'll write one up if people would like. Master of your domain? I am Lord of the manor, Queen of the castle, King of the county! The Dark Lord
The Britannian military has begun another war game on 'Klendathu', the nickname given to the Kajean desert world. These games will simulate a war between the Terran Federation and the Britannian Empire. Pseudo-Terran marine suits as well as other Terran armor will be used on the side of the 'Terran Federation'. Britannia will test its armor against that of the Terran Federation and will test different outcomes of the war so that Britannia could be prepared for a future invasion. A space battle will also be simulated, thanks to a unique system that will work like laser tag. Instead of being obliterated, a ship will have a hitpoints system. When a beam of a non-lethal laser contacts a sensor, HP will be deducted accordingly. SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on. Seraphi
Aether continue building really huge things which serve no purpose other than to flex production muscles. Well, they kind of serve a purpose. Matrioshka brain calculates pi to 2 googolplex digits. Hah, eat that mathematics.

Seraphi
Hrm. I wonder if pi ends before it gets to 2 googolplex. I mean, that's a pretty big number.

Seraphi
Well apparently if you tried to store 1 googol using normal computer bits, even if the entire universe was a single computer, it still wouldn't be able to store it. I mean, it has to end somewhere. Nothing can never end  (Yeah, my brain is pretty much broken, so I can't be bothered to read a few dozen articles on the subject like I normally would.) Now, I'm going to go and smash my head into a wall and force myself to revise. The_Mather1
Irational numbers are seemingly infinite because they do not folow any pattern. Anyways when we can meassure a circle's lenght at an atom's accurancy we'll find the exact vaøue of pi. Twitter: @TheMather1
Wisp
Nope, we won't. If anyone knows the formula for calculating pi (not just the simple equation, one where you put a shape within a circle, and depending on how many sides it has, your measure of pi is more accurate). Basically, since a circle has infinite sides, when then calculating pi they just plug in bigger numbers for the shape inside the circle. I'm bad at explaining, but since a circle has infinite sides, you can never get an exact measure. And mather, there are no perfect circles. archimage_a
Nah it isn't...its like the square root of 2...Its irrational, since the series of numbers don't repeat. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. Seraphi
But if something stretches on to infinity, would it not repeat itself infinity times in the process? Doesn't that make a pattern? Or am I thinking too hard on this?

The_Mather1
With random infinty a set of numbers is bound to reappear, but the numbers in between make it so that there's never a cyclus. Twitter: @TheMather1
Seraphi
But the pattern and the numbers in between the pattern will repeat themselves as well if you are stretching it to infinity. I mean, every supposedly random sequence of numbers will repeat itself eventually, even if the chances are practically nil. You have a million random digits, you add another million random digits. What are the chances that they are the exact same digits as before. Very low, but given infinite digits to add, the probability of it happening eventually becomes 1.
