Bagman
I have been having trouble keeping an income, but was curious if fishing for monks given my current level was worth doing? I mean, it is steady income, but I was wondering if there were better ideas. I am down to 3M and would like to get up to around 10, just to stockpile it away. Also, when I do GOP, is it best to save my tokens or spend them on ess? I REALLY want to get my level up, and was curious how everyone is affording their ess these days. If anyone has any other ideas, let me know. Thanks! P.S I have been doing slayer lately, and people say it's a good way to make cash, I guess they mean it's a good idea to sell drops? If not, how are people gaining money in slayer these days?
TheKoolKandy
Fishing monks at your level could be pretty good, but if you have done smoking kills you could make alot of money of off selling runes you buy with points plus once you get higher you will be able to kill monsters like dust devils, or cave horrors because black masks are up. For ess if you get banshee task just kill the lvl 22s and you can get up to 200 or 300 ess per trip if your lucky. Or if you just wanna train and get good combat xp kill armoured zombies because you an get alot of xp there and a few hundred ess per trip. Slayer; it's just what I do.Thanks Hugger 88 for the awesome siggy!Click show if you want to see achievements.Achievments: Maxed/Comp'd 7th of August 2012. 120 Dungeoneering sometime early december 2011. 99 Slayer achieved October 22nd, 2010. 99 Prayer achieved September 99 18th 2010. cowmaster187
well monks are ok money and add up but slowly imo if you liek fishing do them they are faster then shark but imo shark feels like more of an accomplishment GOP i would guess stockpile ur tokens until you feel you have enough to do what you need slayer only gets to be really good money at about 78-83 and you are pretty far from that but little bits of money here and there add up another good way to make money is farming herbs i didnt happen to notice your level but it is a good money maker ~~~legoman187~~~ Clicky siggy for blogThanks Pendonub for fancy new sigThieving guide[WIP]Loyal player since May 2005 and member since November 2005 and Tifer for many years~~~legoman187~~~
Tafkan
Yeah, making money through slayer is pretty much selling all your drops. Pretty decent money. As for your money problems, tried Miscellania yet? It won't make you a billionaire, but it certainly helped me on my way from 1 to 15 millions. Doesn't take much effort, just visit it every couple of days, meaning you're still able to make money through normal means (Slayer) while it keeps passively earning you more. The profit's not too bad either, takes 75k per day and gives far more - even gotten lucky enough with the seeds to earn 400k on some days. Depends on where you assign your workers mostly. Oh, and also farming herbs. Buy some seeds, plant them, check on them later, reap the profits. Gives experience and quite a bit of money. Bagman
Yeah, I might just keep slayer up, but sadly I have been using my pts to get rid of tasks (like 169 black demons -.-) but yeah, those slayer dart spell runes would add up, but sure. Thanks for the help guys.

I thought it cost a 100 pts to block them, but I dont have that many pts yet. Thats why I got rid of them, lol. But yeah, when I hit 100 I will probably block them. Robert_R
Slayer is a good way to make money even if your level isn't high so just keep slaying. These are my drops training slayer from 77-78(not including the close to 500k in cash from alcs): Now who says slayer is only good money past 78? So ya just keep slaying if you want a steady source of income. Well as a source of income, doing slayer tasks is worse than killing the more profitable monsters off-task. izakiwi2
Getting Varrock armour will help with the number of battle staffs you can buy from Zarf in Varrock each day. Varrock 1 = 16, Varrock 2 = 32, Varrock 3 = 64. Buy for 7k each and sell on GE for over 8k each. If you stockpile a crafter may give you a very nice trade. Either way it is easy (small) money each day. On a similar vein - Getting your daily limit of sand from Bert in Yanille, and Seaweed and Pineapples from Arnheim in Catherby will over time get you a nice amount of cash. Or stockpile for use yourself later.
transcript80
Daily activities for steady cash (especially in the long run). Buy/sell battle staves from Zaff -> requires varrock armour 3 Get 120 free flax from...errr...Flax -> requires Seers headband 3 Get sand from Bert -> requires "Hand in the sand" quest MTK -> Requires "Throne of Miscellania" and "Royal trouble" Buy cheap seaweed and pineapples from Arhein at Catherby docks the secret of accumulating cash is cutting spending (as stated before). I never buy potions and food, as I make/fish them myself. It gives me XP, plus I don't have to spend my hard earned cash to get it. I hate the term "opportunity cost" so don't slap it in my face. I know I'm not The most efficient RSer out there but i like it that way. Fishing monks can be a good income at 81 fishing, sharks are slower. Slayer combined with farming worls well for me. Between tasks I do a herb run. If I get a clue from a task, I do it when I'm done with the task, just for fun. I might actually give you something nice, you almost always profit from a lvl3 clue.
