InfamousDuck
I got the slayer task Aberrant Spectres and I believe you usually bank with these. Ive never had them before so assuming I will be banking how many prayer potions will I need per trip. I wont be using cannon and ill be in slayer tower. Also should I range them or melee, if range is there any safe spots? Georgelemmons
There aren't any range safespots. I'm not sure how many prayer potions you need, but I need around 210 prayer points per task when I pray flash with a prossy top and monks robe bottom (same prayer bonus but better mage defence). Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <
nicrune007
Even if you are not cannoning you should use dungeon, because its much less crowded and there's like what 8x more spawns. Hey Nicrune007 , Whats Your Username? 99 Ranged on 2/6/07 99 Hit Points on 9/5/08 99 Defense on 26/4/08 99 Attack on 14/2/09 99 Strength on 25/2/09 99 Slayer on 13/9/09\:D/
Legionwizard
3 prayer potion are usually more than enough per trip. Also, if you have slayer mask, dump the slayer tower and go smoke dungeon, it's really worth it, as it's really deserted. Achieved quest (07/08/2009), woodcutting (28/06/2010), attack (21/07/2010), strength + constitution (07/08/2010), defence (26/09/2010), summoning (13/01/2011), herblore (03/03/2011), cook (31/08/2012), firemaking (01/09/2012), magic (08/09/2012), prayer (16/09/2012) and ranged (29/10/2012) capes. Aside from that, my Spectre set up is usually Karil's with a whip/defender and about 60 Unicorn scrolls with a familiar. Since you don't have Unicorns, I'd suggest Proselyte with about 4 Prayer potions (just in case). The Ranarr drops will pay for the potions a few times over themselves, and even get you a profit. zotto
if you are going to bank you don't need many prayer pots. You can even go the cheap cheap way and wear mage defense gear and take cheap food with you with a single prayer pot as a back up. (terrorbird for extra cheap food) You can even take two outfits. black-d'hide or better for mage defense for the first phase of your stay. Then switch out black d'hide bottom and top for proselyte or monks robes. You lose two inventory spots, but you gain some prayer bonus. experiment a bit. Bring a dueling ring/slayer ring combo for easy banking. I used to pray there at a lower level till I started experimenting. I was using trout or salmon as food and noticed I could stay quite long when using a combo of mage defense + food and prayer bonus + prayer pot. The aim is to collect everything above harralander or aventoe. Often that goes fine with one load. Nowadays I don't bother with these methods any more of course. I switched to bunyip + sgs at one point with mage defense outfit. And nowadays I just cannon them.
aglips
First of all, you didn't mention how many aberrant spectres you got for your task. It would be safe to take 2-3 p pots(4) initially and wear as much prayer boosting gear you can get your hands on. Don't forget your slayer helm or nose peg. Once you get there and and kill a few you should be able to gauge for yourself how long you can stay there and how many p pots you'll need. Good luck. wwezach
P pots, mage defence, and food all work. and even for me, who buys about 15 prayer pots each task (i dont have the best prayer bonus and that), i usually break even atleast. mostly about 150k profit. Plus u will usually have to bank a couple times cause u just have too much stuff. Even though you may have to spend some money on these, you definently will get enough drops to make a decent profit.
