Maze
If you don't mind shelling out cash, Sony Vegas is very good for editing.

Gandorf61
If you don't mind shelling out cash, Sony Vegas is very good for editing. Sony Vegas is an amazing software but costs a bit of money. The HD videos you can create are awesome. It's also fairly easy to use but if you want to have really professional videos then it can get a bit complicated. I also found this free program that has some more advanced editing techniques and there is a bunch of tutorials on their website that can teach you the basics. Da Pirates
http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp The all in 1 package. Comes with a built in screen recorder (with optional smart focus to zoom in on where you click for non RS vids) and is comparable to most high end editing programs in terms of editing. BR BR BR? HexiledRazz
I recently got Sony Vegas. It's amazing, and if I'm not mistaken you can download a free 30 day trial to test it first. And if that fails, Windows Movie Maker was always my old stand-by. Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.
RSBDavid
I got a copy of premiere pro CS2 /older version from my old school for 10 bucks for the license key. f you are in college or know someone who is in college, you can have them see if they can get software at a discounted price. I also got vista ultimate a while back for 20-30 bucks. I plan on upgrading to Windows 7 in October. I would look into Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere Pro, Pinnacle Studios, or Windows movie maker for starters. If you have 0 experience then just use Windows Movie maker until you get the basics down then use you tube to help you from there.
